Why do we have to wear seat belts?
I truly think that if people need to wear seat belts. It's the law that we wear seat belts. It is not safe if we don't have our seat belts because when or if you get in a accident you may go through the window sheild and or you may get killed of terribly hurt. I think that we should also not wear seat belts because The seat belt is a kind or material that it can cut you badly. I think that it is safer if we were seat belts. It is totally not safe if you go through the window and hurt yourself. Pople miught that theres air bags those can also kill you. It is really not safe to not have a seat belt on.

As a physics major, and as a man of self-proclaimed common sense, seat belts are definitely helpful. The force involved in car collisions is far more than our brittle bodies typically can stand. Seat belts might not be the greatest conceivable safety device, but they are the best thing we have to date. Side: It's not Safe.

You are far more likely to survive a crash if you have a seat belt fastened. Yes there are a few cases in which a person can cut themselves or be trapped in a burning or sinking car, but those are few and far between and therefore not a justifiable reason to discredit a seat belt's saftey regarding the majority of crashes. In the US we have to wear our seatbelts in most, if not all states, because its the law. The reasoning behind why we in the US have to wear seat belts according to the law is due to the legislature, it was voted into being a law by the people. Whether it is 'right' or not to make such a law such as this is secondary compared to the guiding factor that pushes the majority in favor of determining whether or not such bills should be passed. Side: It's Safe.
It's definitely a must, no matter where you're going in a moving vehicle. You never know when some maniac will come zooming past your street and smashing straight into you because they're drunk or not paying attention etc etc. If your car suddenly goes into a barrel roll because you some how drove off a hill or someone hit you that hard, that seat belt will keep you in your seat instead of flying all about the car. HOWEVER, I've seen many many movies where people have their seat belts jammed... Now i'm not actually 100% sure if that actually happens, but that's always a down side for seat belts. Side: It's Safe.
