Why do we like to eat so much?
Obesity is a problem wherever people are able to get enough food to become obese. Why do we love eating food so much? Why doesn't our body just tell us to stop at a certain point?

I think we eat so much because in the past, before we became sentient and all that, we needed to store as much food as we could because we didn't necessarily know how long it would be until we were able to get food again. I guess that instinct just never wore off. Side: Evolutionary Imperative

There's a much bigger problem than how much we eat and it's what we are eating. Eating to excess is only really a problem because of what we eat. Food products are packed with far more fats and carbohydrates than a natural diet provides. And our diet involves more meat per capita than any other nation in the world. The issue of what we put into our body needs to be fixed before we worry about the quantity. Side: Quantity isn't the problem
People who actually do like to eat so much do it because of a hereditary gene. If you know a fat person who eats a lot, even when he's not hungry anymore, it's because of his genes. Gluttony, once seen as a sin, is more of a biological temptation. What fat people need to do is decide "Would I rather satisfy my urge to eat everything or be healthy?" Evolution merely makes us eat when we need to. But I hate eating if I'm not hungry (unless I'm bored as shit or something). Side: Gene Pool
