It all depends on who your talking to. Obviously among younger people I would say in general conservativism isn't very popular, however, in many places throughout the country, to be liberal is considered far worse. Around the world people have an image of conservatives as unintelligent cowboys, and hicks...especially in Europe. I would say that GWB probably contributed to this image quite a bit. In general if conservatives want to improve their image, I would say stop making it seem like you oppose intelectualism. Don't attack science over things like evolution and global warming...it's a losing battle. Also I would suggest that if they are going to continue to try to ban gay marriage, then come up with a better reason then "because the bible says so." People don't respond well to getting religion forced on them. But hey, I guess I'm biased. Side: Other Reasons.
