Wow. Bipolar crap? One of my best friends is bipolar and she's a fully functional member of society. Mental illness is an inherited disorder, not a choice. Please choose your words more carefully.
Aliciarose, I don't doubt that being bipolar is a mental illness and that it is an inherited disorder. I'm glad to hear that your best friend is doing well. The fact that britney goes around flaunting her crotch, speaking with a British accent, and acting like a moron for the paparazzi makes it seem to me like she is FAKING! I'm not an expert on mental illness, but that is just my gut impression.
Right, you aren't an expert. I can tell you, from personal experience, bipolarity can often occur in conjunction with other disorders, or cause someone to behave erratically. Even if she is "faking it," isn't that in itself proof of some sort of mental disorder? Honestly, who would actually fake being crazy? That just doesn't make sense and is highly unlikely given how much she would stand to lose if she were pulling this and actually mentally healthy.
Britney does have a lot to lose, but she may also have motivation for her actions. Have you ever heard the saying "any publicity is good publicity"?? Maybe Britney is just doing this for some attention?!?! She does seem to have some mental problems, she may even be bipolar. My guess would be drugs has something to do with it. I will say I do feel bad for the girl having to deal with a camera in her face 24-7. Hopefully she sorts everything out and gets back under control or she will not be around until 30!
There are no sorts of drugs that I'm aware of that make you skip going to your custody hearing repeatedly. None. The mental health professionals are likely not wrong in their diagnoses.
Umm...I think it's called being a crazy celebrity who has no grip on reality and is too brainwashed by all the Hollywood lifestyle that she thinks there are no consequences for her actions. She's clearly nuts and thinks she is above the laws of society and doesn't have to answer to anyone. She craves the paparazzi attention and thinks that this is all a joke. She should be stripped of her custody and should be banned from ever procreating again.
Your argument has no basis in reality. We cannot "ban people from procreating," because that violates the person's basic human rights. She currently is stripped of custody and has visitation rights, which appear to be going well. I firmly believe she isn't in her right mind and it has been well-publicized that her family has a history of mental illness. She craves attention because that is part of the "manic" stage of bipolarity. She had/has no grip on reality because she is ill. You really do not know what you are talking about and are just spewing nonsense at this point. I gather you've never actually worked or interacted with people who are mentally ill, so just stop.
She needs to get the heck out of dodge ... aka ... Los Angeles (although I know their are legal terms about being in state to see her children -- such a mess).
Britney Spears is our modern-day Elvis - highly publicized, incredibly wealthy, continually pressured from the media, her family, and her fan base, and quite susceptible to psychotic episodes (shaving her head, hitting cars with umbrellas, etc.).
I'm sure she'll die within my lifetime. It's just a matter of how.
I think she'll easily make it to age 30. I don't necessarily believe that she'll have the kind of career she used to, but people live with bipolarity all over the world. I'm sure plenty of other celebrities have undiagnosed mental illness that will go unchecked their entire natural lives (which probably contributes, in some cases, to the heavy drug use and occasional overdoses). Britney, on the other hand, will be under the care of a physician for probably the duration of her life. Without regular psychiatric appointments, I certainly could see her not making it to 30. But it appears that without some of the more frightening influences in her life (that Lutfi character who apparently had been drugging her), she realizes, at the very least, that she loves her children and wants to be in their lives. No court will allow her to continue to see them without treatment, so I think she'll continue to try to get better.
I hope for her sake, the kids sake and the rest of all of the celebrities sake she makes it to 30. I know it is hard for some people to understand her actions, and although I don't claim to fully understand them either, I sorta get why she does the things she does. People with that type of mental disorder can very rarely control their actions on their own without the help of professionals and medication. Especially seeing she has probably never heard teh word "NO". Even when your family is present in these situations, the person affected by the mental illness is very unlikely to listen to them. So unless she starts getting some Real treatment it isn't looking too good for her. All celebrities should take a big step back and look at what fame can do to someone.
"All celebrities should take a big step back and look at what fame can do to someone." There are plenty of sane celebrities. I think it's how you choose to handle yourself and your surroundings. Britney can easily leave LA and hide out from the paparazzi. That being said, it's our society that reinforces the frenzy by buying magazines and reading blogs...but everyone needs to adapt to changing times.
Out of pure humanity, I hope she makes it for her kids. She may have screwed there future but they still deserve a Mom. Even if the rest of us do not deserve her!
Many people care about her and are praying for her. If she really chooses to listen to the truth and to those who know best, then she, and most people facing huge problems, can make it to 30 and beyond. I really think Dr Phil would help her if she listened to him... or someone like him. It's not too late. For her children's sake, and her own, and for the sake of all ( the many fans and x-fans) effected by her influence, I hope she pulls through. She can overcome ...
Live to 30, Yes. Have a career ever again, No. There has been many a celebrity trainwreck/comeback/trainwreck/comeback tale told before, however, those that have ridden that roller coaster have all had something that Britney does not: Talent. Talent can always detox, refocus, and return to the limelight (Think Robert Downey Jr.), unfortunately for Britney, all she had was a nice, tight body, and a pretty face, which her excessive drug use has quite efficiently destroyed. She can't even sing! They've been tweaking her voice since she came out... The only difference between her and Ashlee Simpson is that her cd didn't skip when she did Saturday Night Live!
Many people care about her and are praying for her. Her little sister is also seeking help. If they really choose to listen to the truth and those who know best.
