Will Sarah Palin Be Foolish Enough To Run For President In 2012?

What do you think the Republican stance might be when the next people come up for election to the Presidency?  Will it be that they've seen the error of their ways in 2008 and dare not ruin their chances or that they will trot her out, once again, as THE woman of the party?

Also, do you think she is doing anything to fortify her foundation and give a solid run or is she simply letting it all play out because she may have assurances from the party?

well, with the collapse of the Republican party, i wouldn't be surprised if they fucked shit up.

Eh, McCain was one of the few politicians I actually got excited for, and he lost. So the next election will probably just be, once again, a bunch of assholes and dip shits running for office.

Who knows, maybe a young McCain will rise from the ashes of the Republican party and run, or maybe even better, a visionary of the old Lincoln Republican party (basically, Republicans without God) will come about and bring us toward the light (hey, maybe then I could actually start liking the Republican party).

But my main problem with the Republicans is that they're CONSERVATIVE. I hate that. Moral values and bullshit like that. 21st Century Grandpa, get with it.

I almost gaurantee that she will run.

I think she lives in a bubble, and I really don't think she understands that even most republicans realize she's woefully unqualified to be President of the most powerful nation on earth.

I think you'll see her appealing more and more to the far far right, and the religious right,

for example with comments like she couldn't find anyone to "pray" with in the McCain campaign,

I don't know maybe instead of praying she should have been studying foreign policy, and trying to figure out what things like the Bush Doctrine means.

Fortunately though, I don't believe she has a flying monkey's chance on Neptune to win the ticket. Her and Huckabee will split up the religious right votes, and a fiscal republican will end up running against Obama in 2012.

from your lips to God's ears. that's why i said in another post that I would end up voting for Bob Barr. Palin is basically the Rush Limbaugh of the Republican party (except Limbaugh is well-informed).

I'm just hoping for a Lincoln Republican. good ol' fiscal guy who isn't worried about the religious right (since they are basically obligated to vote Republican).

But Republicans, like most politicians, are ideologues. guided by their standard as a party. Even McCain started to cave into the Right Wing when campaigning. Conservatives in general piss me off. Bastards have to ruin a good idea with their bullshit.

Yep. The Libertarians are the only Republicans left, sadly. I'm not a party person, but I could never vote Rep these days. And as far as Lincoln himself went-- I'm not familiar with the term Lincoln Rep-- one reason his admin was so successful was that he appointed people across the aisle, I believe even those in the cabinet of his opponent. I can't wait to move to a less nepotist country :-\

Not to nit-pick, but isn't Rush Limbaugh the Rush Limbaugh of the Republican party? Do you really think Limbaugh's ever voted Democrat ;)

Good lord, it's a ridiculous notion. But she's completely full of ridiculous notions.

Hah, between her and Bobby Jindal, 2012 will be the celebration of the death of the Republican party's standing. GJ idiots!

Side: Yes - She Must

I hope so. I'd vote for her. Not only because she's a hottie but (more importantly) because she pisses the democrats off ;)

She pisses a lot of Republicans off too... haha. Myself included. Except in 2012, I'll actually be old enough to vote, so I'll be sure NOT to vote for her. She's irritating and has just about as much experience as Obama (who I have yet to support...)

This internet will only let me click "oppose" once. This must be a design flaw. I tried clicking it really hard. But uh,

Shut up.

This would be a gigantic mistake on Palin's part! Even the deep woods folk know that she is not prepared or ready to be president. Not that she is a woman just that she does not have experience. She cannot even stay on subject in a debate how can she run a country? Avoiding questions and talking about whatever she wants to?

What is your foreign policy?

I can see Russia from my back yard!

I believe it would be a monumental mistake to put her out there. I would love to have a woman be ready for the Presidency of our country but she is not the one! Hillary Clinton will knock her out of the box if she ran against her and most especially if her performance percentage is still in the 70's if she does. The Republicans need to find a more viable candidate than Palin. None of the Tina Fey satires will ever be old! Palin is the perfect candidate for such hilarity.

Sarah Palin as vice president turned out to be a bad choice going by appearances. Sarah Palin as president would without a doubt be a gargantuan mistake that would only lead to another strategeristicly bad president. When you think about it do we want another president that the world makes fun of?

you mean Tina Fey? And why do people always point to the parody of Sarah Palin as her actual words?

It seems people actually thinks she said that.

And she's had more Executive experience than Obama has had. She's also fought corruption in her own party, fought corrupt CEOs, demanded that the gas companies give back to the citizens (and she succeeded in that), all as a political leader.

I don't want her to become president, but technically she's ready.

Tell me then Pyggy...if you believe her to be technically ready, why would you not wish her to be the President?

I know that she did not say that I just always think of that when I here Sarah Palin's name. Yea yea I get them confused, yes I meant Tina Fey. Executive experience? That is fantastic maybe we should vote for her! Jeez only if I had known! She fought corrupt CEOs!? First woman in history or something right? I guess that is what puts her in the ' elite ' huh?

She has not a slim chance of winning the presidential election especially if she is running against Hilary, from what I have seen she is not stupid but she comes off to be a little back woodsy and all her hockey mom and Joe Six pack crap got old and annoying. She truly is a maverick that will never get my vote.

I really don't want her to. But I know she will. Hopefully, she'll just lose in the primaries. If she runs for president against Obama, the Republican party will die a quick and painful death. Quite unfortunate... :)
