Will gay marriage ever be approved federally?

Given the current progression and changes associated with the progression and advancement of our society, do you think that gay marriage will ever be approved by the U.S Congress at the federal level? What is your opinion on this topic? Do you think that it should ever be approved?

It is becoming increasingly rare for homophobia or dislike of homosexuals to be passed on to people's decedents, further more gays are becoming more open and integrated into society such that more people have friends that they know and love who happen to be gay.

The above leads to sympathy and the desire to allow them to have marriage benefits. All that is required is for the older generation to die off or lose power and it'll happen.

As the newest generation succeeds the previous, more and more people are going to grow tolerant of homosexuals. This means that eventually, everyone in Congress will be tolerant of homosexuals, and if it hasn't already been approved by then, that is they time it will be approved.

You cannot stop Civil Rights.

Yes. Its stupid that it isn't already. Marriage is really just a word anyway. You should be able to marry a freaking chair if you wanted to. >_>

Side: Yes!

Yay! Someone finally stands up for us chair lovers! Me and my La-Z-Boy leather armchair have been barred from marriage for years due to this bigotry! XD In all seriousness, though, there's no legitimate reason for the government to prevent gay marriage. Also, is that the Soviet Union flag on your icon? :)

Side: Yes!

The Supreme Court in 2015 has declared Gay Marriage to be the law of the land.

Side: Yes!

Marriage is not private engagement between two people or more, and government should never be involved.

Side: No!

I say no because the government shouldn't be involved at all. Strait or gay its none of the governments business. To give permission for the feds to approve it is the same as saying we as individuals are incapable of deciding for ourselves what we want to accept in our culture. the only way to make this topic completely fair is to get rid of government or at least federal involvement in ALL marriage.
