Will the USA or China be the 21st Century Superpower Pd #1

China has a better economy than the US because United States economy is the world's largest economy by nominal GDP and second largest by purchasing power parity. China's socialist market economy is the world's second largest economy, and the world's largest economy by purchasing power parity. US military outranks China's with the US budget, 554.2 billion. China has 215 billion for military. The US is better in politics than China because the US is a federal republic in which the president, congress, and federal courts share powers reserved to the national government. China is a semi presidential socialist republic run by a single party.

The future Superpower is the USA. The USA has a stronger economy than China. Our GDP is $18.57 trillion whereas China's GDP is about $7 trillion less than ours at $11.2 trillion. The GDP per capita is also much higher in the that of the Chinese. An average American citizen makes about $5,000 a year while an average Chinese citizen makes about $9,000 a year. 7.3% of our population is unemployed. Only 4.3% of China's population is unemployed. Despite our unemployment rate being higher, the Chinese nation still has more people unemployed. There are 23,586,300 people unemployed in the US and 56,539,000 unemployed in China. The US does have a large debt but with the very high GDP its plausible that the US will be able to pay off that debt over time.

the GDP per capita is only lower because the government is giving them a house, car, etc. the debt is also a bigger issue than you think if we are planning to keep our position as the superpower.

The future super power of the world will be the USA. The United States economy in 2010 was $47,200. By 2013, the GDP per person was $52,800. For the military the China had the better man power but the US power was 2,039,414 in 2001. The political pressure group for the United States has environmentalists, business groups, labor unions, and many other groups. China on the other hand has no substantial political oppositions groups exist. Over all the USA is going to be the future super power on the world.

The USA will be the superpower of the 21st century. One reason the USA will be the superpower is because the economy of the country is very good. Only until recently, China has beat the US economy-wise. Second, people listen to the US. For example, when Hurricane Havey and Irma hit this summer, many people from across the globe donated to both the Hurricane Harvey Fund and the Hurricane Irma Fund, and raised a whopping 44 MILLION DOLLARS. And Lastly, we have a size of population. In America, there is 323 million people as of 2016.

I agree that the US will be the superpower in the future. US can fund for buildings that were destroyed in hurricanes. While China builds poor unstable buildings that collapse in hurricanes.

I think you're all asking the wrong question. The future will not be about a country but about a region. Countries will no longer exist as we know it today. They will merge together to form regions and these "regions" will be the superpowers of tomorrow.

The USA nor China will single-handed dominate the future. It will be a regional power that will. The eventual goal is to create a one world government, nation, etc. Don't forget, that is the ULTIMATE goal for all entities whatever they may be (economic, political, religious, etc).

Overall the United States will be the leading super power they already are in the next 10 years.

In being a super power of the world, the economy is one of the biggest parts to the puzzle. Even though China's growth rate is economically higher than the United States at 7.7% a year compared to the United States, 1.6%, China is spending 260% of their GDP of 11.2 trillion which means China's debt will go way up. In 2018 60% of China's population will be considered old which will leave China with less jobs which will lead to less export money which is the highest in the world at 2 trillion but could be passed up by the United States at 1.5 trillion in exports and less tax revenue the old people aren't paying. The United States debt will go up, but not at the same pace as China, and the United States is not having a major economic problem like China so their rates will stay the same. The United States will also have a better GDP than china which is already about 7.3 trillion more at 18.6 trillion dollars.

The military is an essential part of being a super power and the United States exceeds that expectation. In spite of China having 2 times the man power the United States has, the United States has 2-3 times the amount China has on armored vehicles, Air Force, and Navy - which is likely to stay the same over the next decade. The United States also has better technology than China where China is still building frigates, an obsolete attack ship.

The last part of being a super power is the political power and the United States has more political power then China. The United States is part of all of the huge Allied groups like NATO and the UN Security Council compared to China only being part of one huge Alliance, the UN Security Council. The United States also produces the top watched movies and TV shows in the world which has lots of influence on other countries. Although China has the most exports in the world, the United States is not far behind.

The United States is ahead of China in multiple ways in even the future so the United States will remain the superpower of the world in 10 years from now.

"China is spending 260% of their GDP of 11.2 trillion which means China's debt will go way up." The problem is, the USA has a debt of $18.96 Trillion. $1.2 Trillion of which is owed to China.

And also, for clarification, "The United States will also have a better GDP than china which is already about 7.3 trillion more at 18.6 trillion dollars." What is this supposed to mean?

I believe the USA will be the 21st Century Superpower. One reason is the economy. The United States brings in a GDP of around 18.57 trillion dollars, while china gets 11.2 trillion. Also, the minimum wage is higher in America at $7.25, however China's is 11 yuan which equals $1.67. Another reason is the political views in the US. Since the US has a democracy it gives certain freedoms to the people. Similarly, the people get to choose what party they want to win for president;democratic or republican, but Chinese people can only vote for communism. Lastly, the president only serves 4 year terms in America so the people can vote again quicker unlike Chinese leaders who serve 5. Although, China's military is bigger with 2.3 million people in service and the US with 1.4 million. Additionally, China's military has a strategic support which the United States does not have.

I think that the U.S will be the next superpower because there economy is better there GDP is 18.57 trillion USDA. There GDP growth rate is 1.6%. The USA's has 78.2% internet users of the population. China's gross domestic product is 11.2 trillion. There GDP growth rate is 6.7%. China has 38.4% internet users of there population. In contrast to economy China's military win. China has 1.6 million active duty troops. China's army con sits of peoples liberation army navy people liberation army, peoples armed police, republic of China armed peoples liberation. The U.S's military con sits of marine corps, navy air force, coast guard, and armed forces. However, I think the U.S won because they have a democracy and there government is stable. Unlike China where the government doesn't speak out on situations.Even though China's military is better the economy and political views of the United states overtake China's military.

The USA will be the future super power because of there military and political view. The USA lacked in economy through china won because china has become the first nation too have a GDP over $20 trillion mark. The USA won the political part because in the USA everyone has free speech and a justice system and sup rem court and lower federal court exercises Judaical power the USA also won the army part because the USA has the largest air force in the world also the USA has the largest air force in the world also the USA arm air forces has significant capabilities in both defense and power projection due to its large budget resulting in its advance and power equipment.

The United States will remain the Super Power in the future because it has a better economy, stronger military, and better Government Structure. The United States GDP is 19.739 trillion and China’s is 11.2 trillion. The average United States household has a much higher annual income than the average Chinese household. The average Chinese person has only 1/3 the spending power that a U.S. citizen has. The United States has a higher military budget, it spends 554.2 billion/year. China spends 215 billion/year. The United has 12,100 military aircraft and China has 3,729. China has about double the military personnel that the U.S. has, however the United States has a much more experienced fighting force. The United States has a better Political system than China does. The United States has an elected government. There is a separation of legislative, judicial, and executive powers. China is ruled by the Chinese Communist Party, there is no separation of powers, no checks and balances, and no independent press.

In the future, the US will remain the global super power. They have a strong economy with a higher GDP and the average person makes much more. The US also has a stronger military. They have 554.4 billion dollars in their budget getting 3.8% of the US income. The US also has 1,301,300 active people serving and 58,563 land, air, and naval vehicles (much more than China's 9,266). The US military is ranked 1 in GFP(a global military ranking). Another reason the US will remain the super power is because of its strong government and influence around the world. The US gives the most money out in forgin aid that gives them a lot of influence on countries. The US also has many more allies with around 60. They are part of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and are friends with many more countries including south Korea, Japan, Australia, and Israel. On last thing that will keep the US in the super power position for years to come is their strong government. The US has the longest lasting working constitution in the world. The USA is a constitutional federal republic and China is a communist country. The citizens in the US have many more freedoms than people in China. All in all the US will remain the global super power because of its income, strong military, influence and government.

The US does have a large debt but with the very high GDP its plausible that the US will be able to pay off that debt over time.Another reason the US is the future superpower is their political power. Our type of government hasn't changed since the constitution was written(amendments have been made to the constitution and new laws have been passed but our government remains a constitution-based federal republic). China's government has changed. China was fully declared communist when they won the conflict with the Nationalist Party in 1949. Our government has been stable for over 200 years and it can and will stay stable for many years to come. The Chinese government has been unstable in the past and could be unstable in the future. If China has an unstable government and can't make decisions for their country because of conflicts, they won't be able to make decisions for the world, therefore having a very small amount of political influence. In addition to this, China does not have as many allies as the US. We have about 60 allies (members of NATO, South Korea, Australia, etc). An exact number wasn't found, but websites have said that China doesn't have nearly as many allies.

While the US doesn't have as many people available for military services, or as many active soldiers, our defense budget is much higher than China's. Our defense budget is $598 billion and China's is $146 billion. In the circumstance of an emergency, the US has more money to use to defend their country. In China, they might not have the money they need to defend their country from possible enemies.

When you say, "Their are more people unemployed in China than the US" that is a really unfair statement. Considering China has more than double the United States population, that statement is relevant. Especially since China has a way lower percentage of unemployed people, than the United States. I disagree with your explain nation on that just because of the fact that China has more people. That is not a good argument for why the US will be the global superpower of the future.

I think that Russia will be the next super power. The president of Russia is head of the state and of a multi-party system with executive power exercised by their government headed by the Prime Minister appointed by the president with parliament's approval. Russia won the economy. Means how much money a country has. They are leaders in producing oil and natural gas. Also a top export of steel and primary aluminium.

China will be the superpower of the 21st century. Despite the U.S currently having more political power, China's economic, and military positions leave them in a great spot to be the next superpower. The U.S holds a good position being the superpower of the world and also has more allies giving America more political power yet this will not be enough to keep this position in the future. because of china having a bigger growth rate and being in less debt than the U.S , China's economy is pushing them towards being the next superpower. China's military also has a step on the U.S. A result of its giant population, china has 5 times the man power of America. they also have more reaching military age which will lead to another overpowering military in the future.

I believe China will be the next Superpower.

In the category of economics, it is quite close between China and the USA. In the year 2000, the USA had nearly 10x the GDP per capita of China. But that was 17 years ago. Right now, the GDP per capita for the USA is 52.8 thousand dollars. China's is 9.8 thousand. Additionally, the labor force of China is 797.6 million, compared to the USA's 155.4 million. China is dominating in real growth rate with its 7.69% and the USA with only 1.6%.11. Winner for economics: China

In the category of the Military, it leans a bit towards the USA. The USA spends 4.34% of its GDP (Which is ~18.57 Trillion) on the military, and China spends 1.99% (Which is ~ 11.2 Trillion). The manpower available for service for the USA is 73.27 million and China with 385.82 million (Larger than the US population).

For military, China DOES have more manpower available for service. However, the US has much more money to spend on the military("he USA spends 4.34% of its GDP (Which is ~18.57 Trillion) on the military, and China spends 1.99% (Which is ~ 11.2 Trillion)."). If an emergency or an invasion were to happen, we have more money in our budget to use if we need to take resources or vehicles unexpectedly. In addition to this, the US has close to 60 allies. If the US were to enter a war, there are many countries that could assist the US in fighting. China does not have nearly as many allies, therefore, less supported if a war was to break out.

I think China will the superpower of the 21st century because of its massive growth. This has led to its countries success as a whole. One part of this growth is the economic system. The economy has grown a lot more than other countries even the US. China's real growth rate has been at least a 7% or higher over the years. The average person's salary has gone up from $3,800 to more than $9,800 since 1999. In 2013 exports have gone up to more than $2,210,000,000 and the United States had more than $1,575,000,000. China's debt has only gone up a little bit from 2000 to 2014 from $159 billion to $863.2 billion. Which is nothing compared to the United States' Debt which was at $1.4 trillion and in 2014 it was $15.68 trillion. Another reason why china would be the next superpower is because of its military. China’s military has more than 385,821,100 men and women in it. And more than 318 million are fit for military service. Every year their military accepts at least 10 million a year. With the second largest fleet of tanks and submarines in the world. Making this one of the biggest militaries in the world. China’s political party would also make China the next superpower. The Communist Party of China is the ruling political party for china. The CPC is officially organized on the basis of a democratic centralism. This entails democratic and open discussion on policy on the condition of unity in upholding the agreed upon policy.

Even though the USA has more man power in their military, China is a very strong military.
