Talking in science terms, it is a matter of time that the sun will burn out one day, when that happens, Earth will not have sunlight, thus, the plants cannot photosynthesis as there is no sunlight, one of the conditions in order for the plants to photosynthesis, when the plants cannot photosynthesis, they cannot make food, which means the food chain is broken, animals will not have their source of food, ultimately, the human race will not have food too and wipe out. In another science perspective, in the Kepler's law, formerly known as Hubble's law, "If the universe is finite in extent and the cosmological principle (not to be confused with the cosmological constant) does not apply, and the expansion speed does not exceed the escape velocity, then the mutual gravitational attraction of all its matter will eventually cause it to contract. If entropy continues to increase in the contracting phase (see Ergodic hypothesis), the contraction would appear very different from the time reversal of the expansion. While the early universe was highly uniform, a contracting universe would become increasingly clumped. Eventually all matter would collapse into black holes, which would then coalesce producing a unified black hole or Big Crunch singularity. The Hubble Constant measures the current state of expansion in the universe, and the strength of the gravitational force depends on the density and pressure of the matter and in the universe, or in other words, the critical density of the universe. If the density of the universe is greater than the critical density, then the strength of the gravitational force will stop the universe from expanding and the universe will collapse back on itself. Conversely, if the density of the universe is less than the critical density, the universe will continue to expand and the gravitational pull will not be enough to stop the universe from expanding. This scenario would result in the 'Big Freeze', where the universe cools as it expands and reaches a state of entropy.[1] Some theorize that the universe could collapse to the state where it began and then initiate another Big Bang, so in this way the universe would last forever, but would pass through phases of expansion (Big Bang) and contraction (Big Crunch) Recent experimental evidence (namely the observation of distant supernova as standard candles, and the well-resolved mapping of the cosmic microwave background) has led to speculation that the expansion of the universe is not being slowed down by gravity but rather accelerating. However, since the nature of the dark energy that is postulated to drive the acceleration is unknown, it is still possible (though not observationally supported as of today) that it might eventually reverse sign and cause a collapse. Dark energy is, however, still a speculative theory." If that happens human race will also die out. Thus, I conclude that the human race will die out Side: yes

I don't think we will advance far enough to escape a supernova In 4 billion years, humans will still be unable to colonize other planets? or collapse of the Milky Way in to the black hole at the center Which is perhaps several HUNDRED billion years after that. We are rejecting science in favor of opinion and consensus It's all unscientific. You're claiming the negative of this argument is unscientific, but science can only test or prove elements of the universe that are currently in existence. It cannot possibly predict human advancement that far ahead. Therefore, this is completely a matter of opinion. Side: No
What about disease? What about pollution? There are many other factors, many we probably couldn't even imagine. 90-95% of all species that have ever lived on earth have died out. The odds are against us. And what about evolution? In millions of years, if we evolve, would we still be considered human or another creature that has descended from humans? And if we do not evolve, create a space craft to hold human life to protect us from our dying earth and exploding sun, where would we go? We would have to find another planet suitable for life, but not any kind of life, human life.(because we know there are animals that can live in boiling water, ice , extreme pressures etc.) And what are the chances of that? We could be able to make it, we have a very slim chance, OH! but wait. We have nuclear weapons. I don't think we will survive... Side: yes

"Eventually the universe will come to and end, collapsing in on itself. The universe is finite. Life is finite." Do you have any supporting evidence? Even if we accept the universe will collapse on itself, all the matter and energy composing the universe would still exist. Who is to say it is impossible for humanity to embed itself within the fabric of the universe? Arthur C. Clarke said, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Even still, your argument assumes that there is only one universe, i.e. that our universe is all there is. Many scientists support the idea of a multiverse, and it is not impossible to conceive of a future where humans can travel between various universes. Of course, this is assuming we've assured some sort of survival to reach that technological point (e.g. spread to other planets to lessen the likelihood of extinction). Side: No

Yes it will because of disasters like a quasars gamma ray hitting earth, the sun exploding , asteroids , huge super novas, and there might be a super volcano that erupts and creates a ice age were all humans die.Last ice age all but 5000 humans died. Before we make it to 3000 A.D and be supreim. Absolutely. We have seen throughout historyu that species even ones more successful than ourselves have disappeared. But first we may evolve from what we are now to something more adapted to surviving in space. Habitat is one of the leading causes of evolution and I think it is inevitable that we will change, perhaps several times before our exsistence ends. Side: yes

well we are extremely intelligent species but I don't think that means we are going to go on for eternity, even the universe has an end, as intelligent as we are we can find solutions to almost any problem so I think the biggest threat to humanity is... humanity. face it, the most likely way of dying is killing ourselves, and I honestly think in some ways humans are stupid enough to do that lol.its the way our governments and societies work, I mean come on we let the same retarded dumbass in office for eight years straight, as much as any president can get and look where we are now, in the middle of a war we never needed to be in. truth is for these societies to work humans have to make them work, and the best way to make sure that happens is to have some power over our society and all the strings planted around us humans to make it work, give the wrong person too much power and we fall like that. Perhaps the form we are in today will cease to persist, but I believe it is foolish to try to limit the abilities of the future using today's knowledge. Judging from what we have accomplished in such a short time and judging the immense life remaining of our Universe, we could definitely overcome huge obstacles threatening our existence to thrive and do things that we cannot understand at the modern age. To try to do so is like a fly trying to ponder Quantum Mechanics. Sure, there are conditions that will threaten our current existence. But it is foolish to assume that we will be physically the same forever. We will continue to evolve through one of the main things intelligence gives us the ability to do : innovate technology. I also believe that we will become integrated with technology in the near future, and perhaps afterwards we will evolve into a form which we currently cannot understand. Side: No
