With all of the eulogizing of Nelson Mandela, is he being treated as if he is a god?

What Nelson Mandela did for South Africa was great, but he was only pointing out the failures of government carried out by the apartheid, and it was a good fight, yet the way the media including sports, world leaders are eulogizing Mandela seems like the world just lost a god rather than a man.

Its actually pretty minor if you compare it to the way most conservatives view Ronald Reagan. Once I did a report in my (mostly conservative) political science class on the flaws of Reagans presidency and they pretty much called out a Fatwa on me.

This is not a matter of liberal or conservative at all. This debate is not about Ronald Reagen. Did RR have 90 world leaders come to his funeral?

Close. We had a week long funeral for Reagan and tons of people were there. All kinds of foreign dignitaries showed up. Mandela is getting a slightly bigger audience.

He earned his respect. Gods are given respect by virtue of their existence (at least they would if they existed).

Side: NO

No, he was just a great man in a time where good men are few.
