World population has remained fairly constant over the last 2000 years
This is gather, if there are any, perspectives on how the world's human population has been over the past few thousand years. Some people have claimed to my face that world population has remained constant at about 5-7 billion people. Most believe it was about 300 million 2000 years ago, progressing to about 7 billion today. Supposedly, the Mayans and Maccabees suggested the world population has remained more constant.
Thanks

It's incredibly naive of history to say there always was approximately the same population as today. Side: World population progressive

world pop has approximately been constant for about the last 2000 years apparently, never really surpassing a billion until relatively recently. Something like this: Side: World population progressive
