i guess tat dictatorship is better..... bcoz in democracy, the freedom given to the people r misused,if not by all but atleast by some of them.......dictatorship is gud provided the dictator is a person who really is interested in the country's development....

The thing about dictators are never interested in development but power.

China is ahead of India because of it's authoritarian ways. It bulldozes into better socio-economic levels, abusing rights on the way.

So you have to weigh economic-social development with freedom and rights. Chinese have better economy, India has better rights. You tell me which one you'd prefer.

Yes if there is a good dictator like Kemal Pasha.A good dictator will make strict laws like compulsory education,no wastes on road, etc.

I don't know if dictatorship would do any place good but then in India democracy is nor working out very well in any case. so i think if India was under dictatorship then it would have been a better country to live in. although in pakistan too dictatorship did take place and it didn't work out real well, but recently fort the CWG the army constructed a bridge within a very short time. if the army did it then why couldn't the govt. do it too??

i do believe that dictatorship might be the way to India's development... India,as a democracy is corrupt, unjust, and incapable of looking after all the individual citizens... some of the reasons are weak law enforcement... and also the seat of the ministry running inside the family... a dictatorship would at least mean abolition of these...

No, dictatorship never does ANYBODY good. I'm not sure what would be better, but all I know is that dictatorship is NOT the way to go. Look at all the countries that had dictatorship. They all eventually rebeled against it if its not in their country today. I've never once heard of a good dicatator.

dictatorship ne'er does anything good

take da egs of nepal it wasn't a democracy so facing a lot of probs so it had to change to a democracy

here r da bad points abt Dictatorship

1. A law abiding society because often rules have harsh punishments.

2. In many rules thousands of people are killed due to no freedom of speech or are 'enemies'

3. Things done quickly and efficiently as they do not need to be discussed

4. Adolescents are not brought up to think and question for themselves

5. No one else to change the countries course if things are going wrong

Democracy has usually failed to express it's potential though it is a fact that with India it might just be different. India is huge mixture. Dictatorial regime might stand context to a bias or partial notice which is again a threat. To India's Privy must be well sought out plan and co-operation. Anything attempted must of well thought.

So many people have already said this, but when has dictatorship EVER done a country any good in the long run?
