Would God Send a Child to Hell if He/She did Something Bad?

My little brother is religious and I am not. The other day he did something very bad, I was just wondering, would He?

What do you care if you don't believe in God or hell? Why did you capitalize the h in he? Is your brother Jesus?

That is not the topic of the debate, whether I believe in God or hell.

But in your description you have no motive for knowing, if you don't believe in Hell, what do you think will happen to him?

God is just, always doing what is just. All of us are sinners, even children. The wages of sin is death. Something is not truly bad unless God deems it bad. Thus, if the child had done something truly bad, it would not be just for God not to give the just punishment.

According to Christian theology (or at least my understanding of it), he's already born with sin and therefore headed to hell, and he can only be saved by accepting Christ. So whatever he did is really a non-issue since he isn't sent to hell based on his behavior anyway.

Did he call somebody bald?

If so, he's going to be mauled to death by two she bears (at least it's probably less painful than being mauled to death by two he bears).

From The Holy Bible, 2 Kings 2:23-24:

"And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them"

No, because there is no hell...............................dur!!

No, God would most likely not. First of all, I doubt that your brother - depending on his age - could have done something that bad (many say that there is no such thing as an 'unforgivable sin') as to deserve Hell; also, depending on age, I'm not wholly convinced that God would send a young child to Hell.

Listen closely, First of all God would not send a child to hell, however, there does come a time though that a child becomes responsible and aware of right and wrong, now I cannot tell you what age that would be but in my opinion I believe it might be anywhere from the age of 9-14 and again that is just my opinion...

and for your 411 on unforgivable sin: there is such a thing and that is to deny God's existence and the Salvation and Resurrection He of Jesus Christ our Lord...

Which is what I stated in my original message.

Yet, even an atheist can be 'saved' if he repents*.

Of course not! It was said that since Jesus started preaching when he was 12,all of the sins that you commit prior to that age do not count against you. However, this is coming from a person that believes about 1% of the people that believe in a heaven/hell go to it. I think Hell is for the worse of the worse. I believe that those who committed sins that are minor(in society's eyes)are sent to purgatory

I dont think so, because i for one, dont believe in hell, because no one deserves hell.

I really don't think he will have to worry about that, if he matures into a well rounded individual he will understand his actions and the most probable outcomes. A person should not have to reference to a book to know if something is right or wrong when thinking of them selfs. Common sense is the key.
