Would the USA be out of Debt if we had a Jew as our National Treasurer?
With the fact that there are so many stereoptypes about Jewish people being good when it comes to finance, wouldn't it make sense to have a Jew as the USA's National Treasurer?

I've found in my short lifetime that many stereotypes about us being stingy and conservative in terms of money is true. I for one am a resemblance of this stereotype more than you may think. At the age of 15.5 I have bought a house and am renting it out which pays for the morgage and then some. So with that being said, YES, if we have a Jewish person as the National Treasurer there will be no unnecessary spending and the USA will actually be bringing in a lot more income than spending it, eventually bringing us out of dept. I could go either way. I only tagged it as untrue stereotype because I needed to tag it as something. I personally don't think it matters what religion they are, we just need a treasurer who is simply intelligent. (By the way, 'debt' is spelled with a 'b' not a 'p'). Side: Untrue Stereotype

Hi John! I think we need someone who not simply intelligent but someone who knows, understands and appreciates where we are and where we're going. That may or may not be a Jewish person and it doesn't matter anyway. There is no such thing as a National Treasurer in this country. The Secretary of the Treasury is a cabinet position and he/she is not the person who holds the purse strings, however, the position is a critical one since the Secretary is responsible for guiding the President as his chief economic adviser. PS...My little friend Altarion has a slight spelling problem...LOL. I think I'll just Krazy Glue his finger to the Check Spelling button until he gets used to using it! Side: Duh

WTF does the National Treasurer have to do with this? He doesn't write or sign any legislation. He may give plenty of advice to the President, but when it's election season and the special interests need their just deserts you can kiss any chance of a balanced budget goodbye.
