Well, in a sense this is a chicken & egg dilemma.

By that I mean, do we start with reducing, and eventually stopping contaminating our seas and oceans with non-biodegradable materials such as plastics.

This would be a mammoth task as it would involve having to enter into combat with the petrochemical giants and an endless range of corporations who manufacture plastic products.

Or, do we start by trying to rid our oceans of the enormous amounts of the most polluting non-biodegradable goods such as all discarded plastic items including;- bottles, plastic fishing nets, plastic bags, plastic packaging.

In addition to specialist crafts being designated to the task all marine traffic could be invited to volunteer to participate in this global crusade with the crews being offered training on how best to locate and retrieve improperly disposed off waste.

ONE THING IS FOR CERTAIN, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO FACE UP TO AND TACKLE THIS MENACE WHICH IS POSIONING OUR OCEANS AND CAUSING THE TORTUROUS DEATHS OF MARINE LIFE.

They do, actually. The piece of litter you picked up meant one less piece of litter that could end up in our oceans. Beach cleanup projects work the same way but in bigger numbers. Beach cleanup projects protect our aquatic ecosystems from the harmful effects of pollution. https://free-games.onl/

There is no different plan.

We either direct resources to the clean up the oceans program concurrent with the speedy phasing out of all non essential plastic products or we don't.

It would be a naive, if not a criminal misjudgement to adopt the fanciful notion that people or governments could be relied upon to dispose of their non-biodegradable safely and responsibly.

This will never happen in sufficient numbers to make any real difference.

People don't do what's expected, people only do what's inspected.

THIS IS ONE OF THOSE ISSUES WHICH PEOPLE TALK AND WRITE ABOUT (AS WE'RE DOING NOW) BUT WE MUST RECOGNIZE THAT IT'S NOT WHAT WE THINK, SAY OR WRITE THAT'S IMPORTANT, IT'S ONLY WHAT WE DO THAT COUNTS.

LET'S GET STARTED BY DRAWING UP A BATTLE PLAN TODAY.

It's fine to want to clean the oceans, but the Chinese care not for your rules or environmentalism, and will pollute faster than you can clean, so good luck.
