Would you kill a gay person to save two straight people?

Yes

Their sexual orientation is irrelevant to me. In general I'd kill 1 person to save 2, however there could be other factors that might change things. For instance what if the 1 person is a good guy and the 2 people are criminals? Or what if its kill 1 child to save 2 old people? Their sexual orientations are probably the smallest factor in determining who to let die.

I was planning on saying the same thing. Their orientation is irrelevant to me. I would kill 1 person to save 2 people simply due to the higher quantity of life being preserved.

Side: Yes

This is going to sound bad; I'd rather save people who share interests with me than a person who doesn't. :D

Side: Yes

Unless of course, the people who share interests with me are also complete %&$&^$%^s.

This makes no sense. I can only judge their worth based off of their numbers, and not what they contribute or are potentially worth. Ergo list the one guy die to spare the two others.

Side: Yes

Yes. The two straight people could have children which means I would be saving several other lives.

i think i would. NOT BECAUSE THERE GAY. actually i am with the cause for gay rights. i just would i agree that i would be saving over 3 peoples lives. but i wouldnt wanna KILL the gay guy. i am not a violent person

No more or less than I would to kill a straight person to save two homosexual people. Their orientation is irrelevant to whether or not I'd take a life.

Side: No

I'd kill 1 person to save 2, yeah.

Side: No

Always, no matter who they are? Or just other things being equal?

It does matter who they are, but if all I have to go on is that, then I'll go with the two straghts.

No one should ever kill one person (straight or gay) to save two other people (straight or gay). This would be a utilitarian approach that does not respect the rights of the one being killed. That being said. It depends on the circumstances. If the one was going to kill the two, say in a hostage situation, then yes. Take out the one. For that case it would be justified to take out three people that were going to unjustly kill two people........... One persons rights stop where anothers begins.
