Yeshua was tortured to death for your sins.

Any repentant sinner can get saved if they repent of all of their sins, and accept Yeshua as their personal God before they die. After death, it is too late. We are all one brainwave away from death. Get saved today, and you'll be so glad you did. YESHUA LOVES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and you'll be so glad you did.

Jesus believers make it very hard to believe this statement is true.

Can you please quote which part of my sentence had to do with religion specifically so I can understand why you decided to make your statement?

I don't see happiness when people talk about Jesus. I see fear.

Okay, and what difference does a minor material life+death make against eternity?

He was tortured for MY sins? I didn't even exist two thousand years ago. This isn't on me. And if instead you mean he was tortured for original sin then you're saying the audacity of a pre-civilization couple to make a single mistake justifies destroying billions of souls and forcing a god himself to be tortured gruesomely. Seems far fetched and disproportionate.

Here's what happened. A really nice guy who challenged conventional beliefs and power structures in his life got killed by people scared to open their minds. And then his followers trumped up the stories of his magic.

So, indeed Happy New Year, Jesus Christ. Thank you for being a lesson of what closed minded people are capable of doing to anyone who dares to say they are wrong.

Now, what are you religious folks going to do to me for saying this. Ban me? Whip me with words after the ban?

1 point

That probably wouldn't be the case.

Well, I have a passage for that.

Such indeed were the precautions of human wisdom. The next thing was to seek means of propitiating the gods, and recourse was had to the Sibylline books, by the direction of which prayers were offered to Vulcanus, Ceres, and Proserpina. Juno, too, was entreated by the matrons, first, in the Capitol, then on the nearest part of the coast, whence water was procured to sprinkle the fane and image of the goddess. And there were sacred banquets and nightly vigils celebrated by married women. But all human efforts, all the lavish gifts of the emperor, and the propitiations of the gods, did not banish the sinister belief that the conflagration was the result of an order. Consequently, to get rid of the report, Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judæa, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome, where all things hideous and shameful from every part of the world find their centre and become popular. Accordingly, an arrest was first made of all who pleaded guilty; then, upon their information, an immense multitude was convicted, not so much of the crime of firing the city, as of hatred against mankind. Mockery of every sort was added to their deaths. Covered with the skins of beasts, they were torn by dogs and perished, or were nailed to crosses, or were doomed to the flames and burnt, to serve as a nightly illumination, when daylight had expired.

Nero offered his gardens for the spectacle, and was exhibiting a show in the circus, while he mingled with the people in the dress of a charioteer or stood aloft on a car. Hence, even for criminals who deserved extreme and exemplary punishment, there arose a feeling of compassion; for it was not, as it seemed, for the public good, but to glut one man's cruelty, that they were being destroyed.

Although I agree if you make such a statement you will have to convince people that this is the truth. Which is very difficult.

Yes, the innocent One died for the ungodly, so through faith in His blood which atones for our sins we are reconciled to God. Jesus is the propitiation for our sins, and all who confess with their mouth that He is Lord and believe from their hearts that God has raised Him from the dead are reconciled to God, forgiven of their sin as Jesus took their sins on Himself and left them behind when He rose from the dead.

Don't pay too much attention to lost people, they want to drag you down into their misery.

Also remember Jesus said few would believe on Him, most will remain lost forever.

Those who reject what Christ did for them will be as they are now, dying for their own sins forever in Hell, rejected by the One who they rejected after He gave all for them.

Yeshua died for being a REBEL, and going against the powerful. IF, the situation was as described, I commend him. However, not being there and not having video evidence (or even legitimate writings), I can't rightly opine. There ARE no writings (as written in the Bible), earlier than 50 years after the "fact", and those that exist are translations from an ancient language. Most of the "facts" were passed from mouth to mouth for 50 to 100 years, even for 4 centuries before being compiled from hearsay and really questionable documents. Ever play that game in school where something was said in one corner of the room and by the time it got to the diagonally opposite corner it was somethin totally different? Well?? As I said, if things were as described......

Don't listen to these anti-Christ devil mouths. The eyewitnesses of Christ kept His word, passed it along to trusted believers at the cost of their lives, as God promised to keep His word pure and preserved for all generations. Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost and they recorded God's word in obedience to God and we have His word exactly as He wanted it to be.

People who think they are too good to burn in Hell forever will always try to cast doubt on God's word....because they are trying to hide their own doubt in their belief of being exempt from Hell.

"People who think they are too good to burn in Hell forever"

To be fair, I don't think anyone is bad enough to deserve eternal punishment. Punishment should be centered around reform, not vengeance.

NowASaint(1380) Clarified

So why do they have to die if they are not bad enough to deserve eternal punishment? Death is an eternal event you cannot get out of. Do you deserve it?

Can a leopard change it's spots? You cannot reform yourself to make yourself anything other than what you are, a sinner. No amount of reform can change you into a person who will not sin against God. You will continue being a sinner, continue being at enmity with God, and there is no place for sinners but in the fire of Hell which will contain their sin and keep it separated from the living forever. Saying you don't think it's fair won't get you out of it. It was not fair that Jesus the Innocent One, the Son of God, had to die for you....it was not fair, it was His love for you that compelled Him to die for you and offer you forgiveness in His victory over death......if you will repent of your sin and believe from your heart that God has raised Jesus bodily from the dead and receive Him as your Savior, He will save you. You can simply tell God you are sorry for your sin and tell Him that you want Jesus to be your Savior and invite Him in to your heart. If you will believe on Him and receive Him by faith He will be in you a new life, eternal life, and you will be in Him a new creation born of God.

If you will not agree to God's terms to receive His pardon, the One who died for you to save you from Hell will be your Judge and you will be rejected by him in death as you rejected Him in life and there is no place in Heaven for you and Hell will be your abode forever by your own choice of going your own way.

Well of course you think you don't deserve eternal dying in Hell. You think God owes you a pass. Earth calling, ashes to ashes and dust to dust, you don't get a pass just because you think it's wrong for God to leave you in Hell.

If reform could improve you, you wouldn't be dying. You're corrupt, no amount of punishment or reform will change you from being what you are, a sinner. You need a new spirit from God born of His Holy Spirit. You need life from God to have eternal life, or you have nothing but eternal dying in condemnation as you are now, only when your time is over it changes locations to fire where corruption will be confined and not spread among the living ever again.

People know in their hearts that eternal damnation in Hell is justice for sinners and they do everything they can to convince themselves that they are exempt. You can obtain God's pardon and be secure in His mercy if you will repent and believe on His Son who died for you......he who gave His all to save you from losing your all in Hell. If you will not receive the gift of God which is eternal life through Jesus Christ the Lord, you keep what you have, and lose everything because you can never pay enough to change what you are and undo the things you have done.

I doubt you will listen, you always respond in pride. You think maybe you can tell God how he should treat you on Judgement Day?

Question: "What is propitiation?"

Answer: The word propitiation carries the basic idea of appeasement or satisfaction, specifically toward God. Propitiation is a two-part act that involves appeasing the wrath of an offended person and being reconciled to him.

The necessity of appeasing God is something many religions have in common. In ancient pagan religions, as well as in many religions today, the idea is taught that man appeases God by offering various gifts or sacrifices. However, the Bible teaches that God Himself has provided the only means through which His wrath can be appeased and sinful man can be reconciled to Him. In the New Testament, the act of propitiation always refers to the work of God and not the sacrifices or gifts offered by man. The reason for this is that man is totally incapable of satisfying God’s justice except by spending eternity in hell. There is no service, sacrifice, or gift that man can offer that will appease the holy wrath of God or satisfy His perfect justice. The only satisfaction, or propitiation, that could be acceptable to God and that could reconcile man to Him had to be made by God. For this reason God the Son, Jesus Christ, came into the world in human flesh to be the perfect sacrifice for sin and make atonement or “propitiation for the sins of the people” (Hebrews 2:17).

The word propitiation is used in several verses to explain what Jesus accomplished through His death on the cross. For example, in Romans 3:24-25 believers in Christ have been “justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed.” These verses are a key point in Paul’s argument in the book of Romans and are really at the heart of the gospel message.

In the first three chapters of Romans, Paul makes the argument that everyone, Jew and Gentile alike, is under the condemnation of God and deserving of His wrath (Romans 1:18). Everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). All of us deserve His wrath and punishment. God in His infinite grace and mercy has provided a way that His wrath can be appeased and we can be reconciled to Him. That way is through the sacrificial death of His Son, Jesus Christ, as the payment for sins. It is through faith in Jesus Christ as God’s perfect sacrifice that we can be reconciled to God. It is only because of Christ’s death on the cross and His resurrection on the third day that a lost sinner deserving of hell can be reconciled to a holy God. The wonderful truth of the gospel is that Christians are saved from God’s wrath and reconciled to God not because “we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10).

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). The only way for God’s wrath against sinful man to be appeased and for us to be reconciled to God is through Jesus Christ. There is no other way. This truth is also communicated in 1 John 2:2, “And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” An important part of Christ’s saving work is deliverance from God’s wrath; Jesus’ propitiation on the cross is the only thing that can turn away God’s divine condemnation of sin. Those who reject Christ as their Savior and refuse to believe in Him have no hope of salvation. They can only look forward to facing the wrath of God that they have stored up for the coming day of judgment (Romans 2:5). There is no other propitiation or sacrifice that can be made for their sins.
