You can sit down to dinner with any 5 people. Who are they?
Must be well-known, can be living or dead.
Taken from Atypican’s list, I would be interested in: Plato, Gandhi, Thoreau, Orwell, Jesus, Goethe, Siddhārtha Gautama, Noam Chomsky, Ron Paul, Wayne Dyer. To that list, I would add Thomas Jefferson, Ayn Rand, Carl Sagan, and Jacque Fresco. All of the above would be great choices IMO, but if I absolutely had to choose 5 I think I would go with Gandhi, Jesus, Gautama, Carl Sagan, and Jacque Fresco. And I know this doesn’t count because we’re talking about famous people, but my daughter would have to attend because… well, she’s my little girl, thats why. Besides, I’m sure those people would feel honored to be graced by her presence. ;)~ I remember reading a book when I was a kid called "I, Robot," it was a good read and later a good movie, but in all my youthful naivety, I failed to notice the intelligent ideologies that the author had woven within the many characters’ dialog. Until recently, I haven’t paid much thought to the author of that book and after discovering some of his philosophy on the internet, I think it would only be right to add him to my list of influential people. He is Isaac Asimov Dead? Any 5 of: Plato, Gandhi, Thoreau, Orwell, Jesus, Goethe, Einstein, Jung, Wilde, Siddhārtha Gautama ... Lao Tzu would make the list if I was sure he was an individual Alive? Any 5 of: Richard Stallman, Noam Chomsky, Ron Paul, Rorion Gracie, The Pope, Ralph Nader, Wayne Dyer 2
