If i had to put a label on it i would call myself a social democrat or new-deal democrat.

Might as well call yourself a Communist !

"The nearly century-old Communist Party USA hasn't run a presidential candidate since 1984 and softened its ideology following the collapse of the Soviet Union. It does not advocate the violent overthrow of the government, but rather socialism through the ballot box. Bachtell, who lives in Chicago, says the party's 5,000 or so members and Sanders are similar in ideology."A lot of what he says we've been advocating for a long time – redistribution of wealth, public universal health care, free college tuition," he says. "The bulk of our membership is backing and supporting and voting for Sanders."

Communism is completely different from social democracy. Communism is a society, while social democracy is in the framework of capitalism. A huge difference there. It would be equivalent to me saying that a conservative might as well call themselves a Nazi.

Communists support him. Yet you say right there there have "softened their ideology". So we're not talking about Soviet communists were talking about 21st century statists. They want social control over all industries. Of course theyre going to support Bernie. He's the only one proposing any new social programs at all. But that doesn't make him a communist. He doesn't want total state control. A bunch of white supremacists support trump. That doesn't make him a white supremacist.

I am an Independent. I've voted both democrat and Republican in the past.

Ideologically I guess I am a little to the left of center.

I am not as socialist as Obama. I would have voted for Kasich of maybe Rubio in this current pending election. I don't like Hillary. Sanders is too socialist for me. I wish Biden would've run, I would vote for him.

Independent.

I'm not kidding.

The moment you label yourself or accept a label from someone else you have surrendered a little bit of your own thought process and objectivity to follow whatever that label implies.

I'd simplify my political beliefs as:

Let people live their own lives.

Give all people a fair shot.

You have to give in order to get.

Manage your resources.

Manage your services.

That list of beliefs is not uniquely limited to any particular one of the political ideologies on the Wikipedia page.

Its not what label you are, its what ideology you agree with the most. You don't have to agree with an ideology 100%, but most people fall under an ideology and agree with it most of the time.

I understand. And I still stand by my answer.

And if you watch my answers long enough on this website you'll see it demonstrated.

The ultraconservatives on this site all think I'm liberal, the ultraliberals on this site mistake me for conservative on some topics.

Whatever pisses people off ;)

I would say some people don't accept my devotion to Shrek, but I know they're just jealous.

I have always thought everyone got angry and didn't like conservatives, but people bash liberals on this site all the time. Are you a Trump Liberal? or are you a Hillary conservative?

I can't really say I have one, but on a political compass I land in the lower left square which is "Libertarian Left". Though I disagree with how that test works since you could be far left on some issues and far right on others.

I guess I like Fourierism the best out of that group. Though Wikipedia wasn't too clear on the details.

Somewhere between liberal and libertarian at the moment .

pragmatism

I wouldn't think that is a political ideology. Was it on the list?

It is an ideology that I apply to politics, so, yes, it is a political ideology.

Hindutva and Hindu Nationalism are the ideologies I support, and are reflected by the BJP of India. They teach acceptance of all paths and secularism, even though they technically are a religion based ideology.

Hinduism is just so practical and accepting that it makes sense to have a government that uses ideals of Hinduism.

It is hard to catagegorize most people to just one ideology. I guess if I had to categorize myself I would have to be a neo marxist with some leanings towards liberal socialism.

Edit. Double post.

Closest fits are individualism, egoist anarchism, and individualist anarchism.

Governments= Enforcement agencies

Living with our technocracy is and always has been an inescapable fact of life, and the problem of authority can corrupt any kind of system we might devise. Thinking in terms of the various isms (communism capitalism anarchism etc) confuses us more than it helps IMO
