Thats like telling a person, "Hey, I like you, but I hate your wife, whom you died for."

It's more like saying, "I like your teacher, but I don't like his students. His students refuse to learn."

You should read Ephesians 5:22-33.

Even though your statement isn't quite accurate, so what? Why do you have to like the guys wife because you like him? If she doesn't act like the guy you like it would make sense not to like her.

How is the statement not accurate?

Not true. This is someone stating the fact that Christians are hypocrites who don't even follow their own rules. Christians claim to be about love, but all I hear from them is hate. If that hypocritical hate is Christianity, I am not interested.

Well, I don't think Gandhi took it that far. Don't let them get you down.

I personally believe that disagreements is confused as hate all the time. You see us, then you expect us to conform to every lifestyle you have and if we say we don't disagree, we are assholes and bigots. Yeah, we don't know how to disagree, but when we do it politely, there is no escaping labeling.

So your saying if my friend had a wife who I disliked because she was a bitch and he died to save her and she did not learn from this and continued to be a bitch I should like her? Sorry that would be hypocritical Ghandi's quote still holds up

who gives a flip what Gandhi thinks .. can Gandhi save you ?? .. no .. is Gandhi rejecting Jesus because of what he thinks some "christian" said or did ??? ... just because someone claims Christ does not make it so ..... how do you know you're not staring at the Harlot and then turning to blame the Bride .... Satan's MO .... for such men are false apostles .. deceitful workers .. disguising themselves as apostles of Christ .. no wonder .. for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light .. therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness whose end will be according to their deeds.....2 Corinthians 11:12-15 . . . "christians" who claim it's fine to murder a child in its mother's womb . . . . "christians" who claim that marriage can be between two men or two women .. "christians" who claim to know Jesus and hate God . . . . yes indeed folks . . . . what Gandhi is judging as "christians" might not even be Christians at all . . . PS: when you stand before God to be judged . . . someone elses' sins will be no excuse for rejecting his son ........ also: Jesus isn't interested with how much someone "likes" him .. but to as many as have RECEIVED him .. to THEM he gave the right to become children of God .. John 1:12 http://www.gty.org/products/Audio-Series/279 Who-Is-Jesus-Anyway .. come and learn

Traditional Christians, in general, are pretty intolerant. They seem to have misinterpreted most of the Bible, and early ones seem to have added to the teachings of Jesus. Many Christians aren't as loving as they were instructed to be, and that was Gandhi's point.

"and that was Gandhi's point" . . . I understand Ganghi's point .. it was no more an excuse for him as it will be for you

You aqre disgusting. So full of hate and hypocrisy. You think someone MUST be wrong if they dont agree with you. He was totally right about Chrstians not being like Christ.

Don't bother with your links, I won't click them. You can quote scripture for me, that is fine.

When Christians began to look at Satan and hell outside of an allegorical perspective, they became intolerant of silly things. They point out the most ridiculous of "sins," not realizing that sin arrived out of egotism and materialism, two things many Christians are very guilty of (you too Mr. Advertiser).

Jesus was not intolarant. He had a major problem with religocrisy.

That quote is more like, "Do as I say, not as I do." The sayer being Christ and the doers being Christians.

He spoke the truth. There would not be any Christians fighting war if they acted like Christians.
