Your thoughts on Trump speaking out against anti-semitic attacks
I'll say it's "good." Quite frankly it's refreshing coming from him. A person can still legitimately challenge that he should defend many other social groups the same way he is defending the Jewish community. And you can also challenge that his past remarks don't necessarily match the present. And you can speculate that his defense of Jews is primarily because his daughter converted and also married one. But good for him. Perhaps his heart has grown another size bigger. I feel like these are words that are much needed from him. And his comment: "We have to fight bigotry, intolerance and hatred in all of its very ugly forms," is something that SHOULD be followed, now he just needs to actually show that he means it by setting an example. One that he has so far not yet been able to set. So fingers crossed, he's growing a bit more as a President. Of course it's good and proper that the President stands shoulder to shoulder with our Jewish brothers whose hard work and peaceful coexistence with their fellow Americans have been great contributors to the success of the nation. It is however, a sad reflection of the bigotry and prejudice which exists in certain sections of American society. 1
