capital punishment

Crime has been the part of the society for along time, and it will continue to be. For centuries, capital punishment exists, because it was only the one way to protect people from dangerous criminals. To some nations, it’s a law while many nations have abolished capital punishment for good. One of the most striking features of this problem is that people can not come to one opinion. Many people think that murderers should be executed, because they committed a crime, therefore they have to be punished, for them it is a justice, but others do not agree with that, because they think, that, in spite of the fact that person did a crime, he still to be a human.

I agree that capital punishment should exist in our society.I think so, because everybody wants to be protected by government, and should not give a permission to murderers after their crime, to live.

On the one hand I can find some arguments for.The history of the death penalty goes back to the earliest civilizations where it was used to punish all sorts of crimes, moreover in that time people were absolutely sure that criminals need to be punished. . First of all when a criminal did a crime, our government with judge and jury decide to send murderer to the prison. As we all know prison is a form of punishment, so if a murderer sits in the prison, he will be cut of from the general population, which is means that prison separate for the safety of local and foreign people from the murderers

If the government should have the duty to protect all of its citizens, it should extend especially to the murderer.

murderers. so , think we should abolish capital punishment.Nowadays there are many countries, which abolish capital punishment, because of some reasons. The first thing that needs to be said is that we are not judges; nobody can take another human’s life.Death penalty is cruel, inhumane and above all irreversible. Capital punishment killed the murderer’s rights-one of them is right to live.

The punishment is hypocritical, you kill a murderer for killing someone then that's hypocritical. Not to mention that if you wish death on someone that brings you down to the same level as that criminal. No person deserves to die, on that note if someone where to be "inhuman" to someone I love I would only want them in jail for a life sentence because then the threat is gone and you no longer have to worry about them anymore.

Also, I want to add that 90 percent of the world's population belongs to a religious group. All worlds' religions teach against killing. For example, state that God is the sole provider of life and no human being has the power or authority to take human life. Other religious mostly teach the same. If almost everyone living on this planet is taught about sanctity of life, why should a state organ, like the judiciary, come in and do something contrary to these teachings. We are in the 21st century and so barbaric executions should be abolished.

If I was a murderer, I would not want to die on the electric chair.

Yeah but to be honest I can't imagine many people would want to die on the electric plus we don't even use it anymore we use lethal injection and to be honest because its punishment it's not about choice for what is better.

Side: It should exist

You could argue that the criminal has already "given consent" to being killed by killing someone else, but this is merely a justification and provides no real reason as to why we in fact should kill him. The obvious reason why we shouldn't on the other hand is the same as the reason why are against him killing a person in the first place.

Even if a death penalty is justifiable on the grounds that it is only wrong to take innocent lives, you are forgetting that the quilt of the defendant can never be 100% certain, whereas the fact that you are taking his life is a certainty. Therefore the punishment exceeds the crime.

Side: We should abolish it

Capital punishment is cruel and unusual punishment. It has to go!
