Proponents of the death penalty say it is an important tool for preserving law and order, deters crime, and costs less than life imprisonment. They argue that retribution or "an eye for an eye" honors the victim, helps console grieving families, and ensures that the perpetrators of heinous crimes never have an opportunity to cause future tragedy.

Let us see, can you teach someone wrong by killing them ? No. Can you leave him unpunished? Is it fair? No. So it is only fair if we use the death penalty for people who murdered more than one (serial killers), unless he/she killed more than one at the same time. This way, someone has learnt the first time but if he does it it again, he has to be killed so justice can be served.

Killing is wrong and justice at the same time? .

Certain categories of murder should carry the death penalty. I'm not legally qualified to rank or prioritize those murders which should carry the death penalty, but morally I feel they should include, all premeditated killings, the killing of police officers, death caused as a consequence (intended or not) of a violent crime such as armed robbery and mugging. The world needs to be expunged of such filth so decent folk can go about their lawful business in relative safety. If you were a criminal where would you carry out a bank robbery, the U.S.A., or Saudi Arabia?

We human have no rights to take other people's life.

The ideology behind death penalty is similar to the totalitarianism. Just because a person have violated the morality of human and the society believes he/she is unworthy to live, killing a person is unjustified. The belief that we human as a society have a "right" to abolish any person with negative affect on society, is just a pathetic ideology.

Secondly an isolation for rest of their life in prison is a punishment for those people. By sentencing them to the prison for the rest of their life, they are forced to live in a life of a hard labour until they die.

Death penalty can be seen as an another act of murder. Hence I believe that the death penalty is not justify and life in prison is a better punishment for the "sinners"

I am against Capital Punishment because it is barbaric. I do support Life Imprisonment.

By inprisonment for life you get isolated and are treated like stray dogs but when you are given death penalty you dont get time to fell the guilt . But if you are given imprisonment you are kept in torture for a long time and so you actually feel guilty for commiting the crime

From an economic point of view, it should be whatever is cheaper. Right now, life in prison is cheaper.
