The iPod was disruptive as it stopped people from socialising at an extreme rate. Particularly on public transport. Back in the day, people would always talk to each other on trains, buses and trams, but with the invention of the iPod more and more people shut out the outside world with earphones and kept to themselves. Therefor disrupting society and the way we communicate. Side: Group 7

iPods and similar mobile technology have enabled people to share music and be collaborative through a technological medium. This was Steve Jobbs intention and he achieved this by allowing people to have their own devices in which they can share music between one another. It isn't isolating as portable music players such as mP3 walkman's already existed. Side: Group 8
