BAHA! The Bible tells us the Earth is flat! Matthew 4:8 "Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. " This is only possible on a flat Earth, and this is from the New Testament. Besides, even if it did teach what you claim, that would be ignoring all the other errors within the Bible, both scientifically and historically. One truth among 100 falsehoods is nothing to brag about. First off the Bible says that the earth is round not flat. Second of all Matthew 4:8 has nothing at all to do with how the earth was flat. So why did you put that verse up when it had nothing to do with the earth being flat? Third that verse was when the devil was tempting Jesus but Jesus didn't get tempted. So you are mistaken and learn to use the Bible in a good way and not in a bad way. 2

Srom, Srom... learn to read. That verse shown is only possible on a flat Earth. Ergo, the Bible teaches (or at least some of it) that the Earth is flat. I know there are other verses which state the contrary, hence this debate. Which further consolidates my point. How on Earth are we supposed to believe that this is the word of God, when he'd be so careless with such basic errors? 1

What kind of utterance is that? One of contempt and slight derision. Same thing applies to science. Nor does science brag about. The difference is that science is constantly looking forward to hypothesize new solutions to the intellectual challenges we face today. Whereas religion has been left with one sole source, with no intentions of ever moving forward from it. 1

much of the old testement is prophecy and many other parts of it are metephors, this clearly is a statement. if you are confused by any of the points in the old testement, id be more than happy to give you a hand as itsays in Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings. 1

There is no year 0. It goes from 1 BC to 1 AD (or 1 BCE to 1 CE). Many scholars believe he was born between 7 BC and 2 BC and died 33 AD. "Since Jesus was born no more than two full years before the death of Herod, our candidate years are 1, 2, or the very end of 3 B.C.. Of these years, 2 B.C. is the strongest. Firstly, it agrees with what Tertullian, Irenaeus, and Eusebius all tell us about Jesus’ birth-year (i.e., that it was 15 years prior to the death of Augustus Caesar in 14 A.D., and that it was also 28 years after the death of Cleopatra in 30 B.C.). Secondly, in 2 B.C. there was an important census/enrollment taken marking the 25th Anniversary of Gaius Octavius being given the name “Augustus” and being named Emperor by the Senate (even though he had ruled since 43 B.C., he wasn’t granted the title of Emperor until 27 B.C.)." 1
