Peace is possible everywhere even America. It just depends if they believe in that peace that they want to build it depends if they understand it and are always willing give it a shot. Through the tough arguments and horrible wars it can happen if they make it so and learn to accept one another even if they're racist or genuinely bad they have to be able to not hurt or destroy innocence. Okay ladies and Gentlemen on the what side, you all make verry good points,however lets face the facts. PEACE is posible anywhere in the world. Therefore peace is posible in America. You all have reasons why Peace is not possible e.g guns on the street ,people are evil etc. The fact is, once these reasons are resolved , we have peace,part of acomplishing peace is to isolate what it preventing it . You guys have done a excellent job pinpointing what is preventing peace, therefore half the work is done,all thats left is finding solutions ,implimenting it, and tada! LET THERE BE PEACE :) Great job guys you find the problems and we will find the solutions . Remember with a will there is a way. Ladies and gentlemen ,once again i understand everthing you are saying,however due note, All of the things you all have spoken about on the opposing side basically boils down to the reasons America does not have peace, However this does not prove that PRACE is not possible, these are just challanges that need to be addressed and fixed in order to have pease,therefore dont be fooled or stray from the fact that PEACE is possible anywhere let alone, little USA. America has been "at peace" since WWII. That's part of the problem. We've made it possible to go to war with hardly a sacrifice or anyone noticing... which naturally leads to far more willingness to go to war than such a dire decision merits. I believe any war we enter should be paid for 100% through an across the board tax hike and corporate suspension of all subsidies. We do that and we eliminate every unnecessary war I believe... Maybe that's too far but you see the point I think. It's too easy to start a war for the U.S. Side: what.........

peace will truly be possible when we are all dead. Humans are inherently evil and that being said there is always going to be that person who wants what another has or more than what another has. Peace is never going to happen, sorry to say it but it won't happen. Side: what.........
Humans are inherently evil This is a huge but very common misconception. Humans are actually inherently good by human standards or morality. We are genetically coded and have been bred for hundreds of thousands of years to protect one another, to feel empathy, to work as "packs" for mutual benefit. That is not to say that within thes "packs" historically humans become tribalist. One "tribe" whether country, religion, color of skin, what have you, humans will attack, demonize, enslave one another, But it is not in the largest part due to "evil" (though the action is evil). It is through the spectrum of good for that particular "tribe." It is excused. Which is must be to fall in line with human nature. Because it is our nature, most of our nature, to not be capable of these actions without an excuse. We seek absolvence for evil even as we commit it, that we seek it is proof of our underlying good nature. Humans are pretty cool. Get rid of social, economic, religious and racial divides, realize our potential, educate, And peace eventually will be the evolution of man, and the norm... if we last that long. ok i totally get your "tribe" argument, but i'm talking about the present day and age my friend. Sure most people have a moral standard, but what about wealthy corporate tycoons who don't give a damn about their employees? CEO's making 400x what their lowest paid employee makes. Or a kid getting shot up on the street because he had some dope or nike's somebody else wanted. This shouldn't be excused. All in all people are out for themselves. They won't help another if there's not a dollar in it for them(the majority anyway) you went way too far back in your argument. Side: Understanding
I don’t know if I can fully agree with you. It sounds like an ideal concept, if this were an ideal world. But I am met with a predicament: There can be no peace until guns are gone, but until there IS peace, guns seem necessary for protection within an un-peaceful society. How can we break from this and grow out of our infancy? Guns can be used for terrorism or control, but also can be used for protection against terrorism and control. I guess what I am getting at is that ‘guns’ aren’t the problem, the presumed need for some people to be in control is. Just one of many problems that is preventing the concept of peace. Not sure what you are asking... But have you ever heard the term Pax Romana, or Pax Britannica, or perhaps Pax Americana? Peace that is brought about through empire, the USA and her allies have enjoyed largely unbroken peace in their borders because of American strength militarily,economically, and culturally. The western world owes much of its current prosperity to Britain and the USA and the Republican ideals set down by Rome and carried on by the USA and much of Europe. Side: what.........
