modern gadgets have made us slaves to machines

at the time of ancient man use his own power for doing work but in this 21st century of science and modernization man has won victory over time and space which led to the invention of various modern gadgets or devices. on invention of this gadgets it started controlling the humans heart. kids use to play games on computer but they doesn't know that playing games on computers may cause eye deffacts and etc. but on playing games on outdoor are better for kids because it keeps fit and healthy. i agree that modern gadgets are helpfull for us but as we get benefits from that , at the same time it will sink us in lot of problems. not only for kids it can be a curse for adults also . their are lots of teen suicites are increasing in the societies and cyber crimes because of this modern devices which can harm us. all the fault are of parents because they provide smartphones and other gadgets for kids and lots problems are then created . and at last i want to say that modern gadgets should be baned because it made us slaves to machines.

That idea is ridiculous. If you don't want any modern equipment, go live in an Amish community. It is entirely distasteful of you to suggest that a kid's childhood is any less satisfactory than those of older generations purely because of the presence of better technology.

Your proposal that all technology should be banned is even worse. People are not slaves to the machines, they can still do the things they did years ago, only more efficient. People choose to have technology and gadgets because it enhances their lifestyle and makes things easier. Who doesn't want an easy life?

I think there is a very unnecessary negative stigma given around the ever-changing technology of today, especially from older generations who are perhaps confused or intimidated by it. Although there have been many issues with modern technology that have caused some problems, there are so many more things that technology has saved and improved that you cannot say is not worth it.

Actually ancient people were slaves to their inventions to, whether it were agriculture, irrigation, masonry, blacksmithing, whatever. As soon as people have any type of invention which helps some aspect of living then producing, maintaining, and using those inventions becomes a leading time suck of their lives. All you're doing is pining for older inventions over the newer inventions. And the other poster is right, you might as well then just be Amish.

Perhaps then the misunderstanding is when you use the word "slaves" in the debate heading. By applying that label you associate modern gadgets in general with enslavement. It's hard to take seriously that you're not pining for older ways when you've equated the newer ways with slavery.

I find your viewpoint well taken in that people have become slaves to the technology. Sadly we don't think far enough ahead to see the kinds of problems we are creating for ourselves. People who text and drive, it has been reported people, students sitting in the classroom conversing with the person right next to them but rather than verbally talking to them that typing on the computer back and forth to one another.

It was an actual case where I believe there were three women that attended the hospital where they got some sort of electronic treatment from that hospital all three of these women died and the detective who investigated the case found the only commonality was that hospital between all three women. Where as the hospital administrator fought against the idea that their equipment could cause the death of these three women after thorough examination them million, million-dollar equipment was the reason these people were over x-rayed. The point I'm making here is that we have put so much faith in technology we no longer even question whether or not it is right or wrong.
