Our world will end when Jesus Christ takes all the Christians who were true followers of Him and we will be raptured in with all the other believers to heaven. Then 7 years of tribulation will come and then during those times the antichrist is suppose to say that everything is fine and everybody will think he is god when he really isn't then he will put up the mark of beast and if you accecpt it you are doomed to hell. But if you refuse you won't be able to buy food or anything. Then after those 7 years past, Jesus will come down with all the other believers and defeat Satan and bound Him for 1000 years and then after 1000 years Jesus and His followers will fight with Him and defeat Satan and then there will be a new heaven and a new earth and there will be no more sin or suffering or sickness. This is a common misconception about the antichrist. The antichrist, isn't just one person. Antichrist literally means "Against Christ" and anybody who is against Christ or denies him is an antichrist according to the bible. The term antichrist is even at one point used in the plural, implying that there are many antichrists. Someone is anti-christ in the same way a person may be anti-war or anti-abortion or anti-government. Antichrist is more of a title than a particular person or entity. I John 2: "I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. 22 Who is the liar? Apocalypse is relative. Life on earth won't likely end, at least not permanently until the the sun depletes its hydrogen and begins using its helium reserves, causing it to expand to 256 times its current radius. This will happen in something like 2 billion years. At this point the earth's oceans will be scorched and all life, or nearly all life will die. If we make it that far and have the technology, at that point planets further from the sun may become habitable, then again maybe not. At any rate that is when the earth ends. Several hundred million years after the expansion the sun will begin the process of actually burning out (it not being large enough to implode and become a black hole). It will take about 5-7 billion years to burn out, and perhaps during the cooling process some bacteria will have survived the earth's scorching and life will begin again until it freezes for the second and final time as the sun burns out completely. So there may be two, the first time the earth will burn, the second time it will freeze. For humans, a very, very large asteroid could do the trick. Perhaps it is misplaced, but I'm fairly confident facing imminent death of our species, we'd pull our heads out of our assess and create the technology to deflect it... if seen in time. It's not as if we don't know dozens of ways to avoid a giant asteroid at least theoretically. Side: sun expanding

hey everybody what about aliens? discuss minions. or perhaps our world is a giant egg cell in a giant infinite vagina that will be destroyed by massive sperm. or maybe reptoids will come from below. maybe we will be taken and farmed and our planet will wither without our stewardship (pfffft). planet of the apes? zombies? maybe a giant pacman will come and eat us. if anyone can match that creativity ill be happy. When some scientist accidentally creates a black-hole that devours the earth and everything in it. Are you talking about the LHC? No major worry there, they create thousands of black holes every day. None of them are strong enough to support themselves though, and they vanish quicker than you can say "apocalypse". When a massive asteroid smashes into earth killing everything. Definite possibility. I doubt it would kill EVERYTHING though. Cockroaches are mean son of a gun's. Anyway, An asteroid large enough to destroy humanity would be spotted fairly promptly. I'd imagine. Theoretically, it's pretty "easy" (bit of a simplification, but it's not hard by any stretch of the imagination) to prevent impact. I do stress "theoretically though, as we all know Armageddon was not a documentary. When the sun goes Super Nova. Nah, the sun is a tiddler compared to the size of the stars that do go supernova (8 solar masses). It definitely won't supernova, but as mentioned by others, it will become a red giant in a few billion years, engulfing Earth and frying everything bar the hardiest bacteria. Then it will detract into a white dwarf, finally dimming into a black dwarf. This is humanity's inevitable fate if we don't find another home. If we look before then, I would hedge a bet on nuclear annihilation. Mutually assured destruction doesn't bother crazy, bearded bastards with access to nukes, so nuclear holocaust poses the most real threat to me. Side: Nuclear holocaust

I believe that, in all likelihood and scientifically speaking, the odds of the rapture just aren't that great. Even in billions of years, however far our technology will expand and regress, the sun is guaranteed to expand, becoming a giant and engulfing the Earth. I believe that, as Einstein has stated, the fourth (Or third, feel free to correct me) world war will be fought with slingshots and rocks-meaning humanity will continue a cycle of creating society and building it up, then destroying it and starting over.
