"This is because WWII established America as a world power" Quite the contrary, it was because America hadn't joined the war for so long that enabled the to build up their economy. While countries like Britain and France had to cope with the full burden of expenses for so long. America profited from both world wars, taking advantage of the fact that the European empires were preoccupied fighting themselves. Side: no

From an American standpoint, yes. This is because WWII established America as a world power Actually no, America had been a world power for sometime. The nation had a strong economy and strong army, only difference was that we didn't intervene in European wars. I do agree with you that America should have entered WWII, only because I believe that America was largely responsible for it. Side: no
"Of course they should, joining the Nazis would be suicide " That's exactly what you're businessmen did do. http://www.guardian.co. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/ http://www.reformed-theology.org/html/ " not joining in wouldn't display that "Murican awesomeness" to the superior.... I mean inferior... European nations." The "Murican awesomeness" which is clearly displayed by the fact that you've never won a single war on your own. And those, apparently "inferior", European nations were much more powerful that America at the time. The only reason they lost their power was because while they were fighting against Hitler, you Americans were making money from the war. Side: no
Americans were originally Europeans (unless Natives) so pretty much 99.99999999% of fighters in the war were Europeans by blood anyway and owed it to their distant family to help them. Ah... White people... They just luurv their families eh? ;) Looks at divorce rates in all Caucasian nations Looks away Side: yes

The Axis never had a chance to win in Europe. Modern strategists have simulated the Battle of Britain, and have determined that the Nazi's didn't have the landing power to defeat the UK. British reinforcements would have arrived and finished off the Germans, even if they managed to land in England. Germany never had much of a chance on the Eastern Front either. If they had waited any longer to attack the USSR, Strain would have finished building the military and would have been able to easily crush the Reich. Instead, Hitler needed to invade when he did, and the German army froze. If the US hadn't intervened, all of continental Europe would have fallen under Soviet control, and Britain would be more or less the same. We should have participated in the Pacific War. The Japanese attacked us, anti we should have retaliated. Side: no
I wholeheartedly agree. Being a history buff, it always irritates me when people act like the US had a major role in the War in Europe. The Soviets lost 20 times as many soldiers!!!. The main turning point of the war was the Battle of Stalingrad. It's the Soviets who liberated most of the concentration camps. Sure, the US supplied the Soviets with supplies, but they still would have won. It would have just taken them more time.[/rant] Side: no
