I think there are interesting possibilities that we are just beginning to scratch the surface of. The transition from (teacher guided) education to (student guided) learning is one that advanced Information technology can add momentum to or retard, depending on how it's applied. Createdebate is on the right track so far, from what I can tell. But I wonder how the goal of getting it used in more schools is going. (I sure could contribute a thing or two to brainstorming sessions hint hint)I am pretty sure that the creators of this website would agree with me that presenting the technology as a replacement for teachers isn't the right angle. here are some things that a teacher can do, but computers can't. Computers can't go to a student and explain something a different way if they still don't get it. I take online courses and most people at my school do. I have talked to many and they all say they would rather have face-to-face classes. Many also say they use the book and notes when taking tests, although they're not supposed to a computer doesn't have a degree in teaching. A bunch of people would lose their jobs and they wouldn't be able to make money to support themselves and/or their family. Not only that but the education of the students would most likely go down. A computer cannot keep order in a classroom so what would keep the students behaving? A lot of people need extra help as well and a computer can't do that. A computer would not be able to answer every question that a student might ask. Some students are visual learners while some are audio and a computer wouldn't be fit. Side: Yes

Of course, computers should replace teachers because computers are smarter, they've got calculator, maths online, etc... Also, teachers have feelings, sometimes they're okay, but sometimes they get really angry and make your day worse with detention or something if you get something wrong on your test(etc...) Computers just give you answer if you get it wrong, and teach you a way to solve the problem next time:D So, I leave it you audience to choose your side, FOR COMPUTERS, or no computers replacing teachers Thank you! A computer doesn't have a degree in teaching. A bunch of people would lose their jobs and they wouldnt be able to make money to support themselves and/or their family. Not only that but the education of the students would most likely go down. A computer cannot keep order in a classroom so what would keep the students behaving? A lot of people need extra help as well and a computer can't do that. A computer would not be able to answer every question that a student might ask. Heck no, computers are fail, first off all, they need eletricity to run on, when teachers rely on food, much better.. And also, computers dont have a teachers degree, they havent been to university, means they're pretty dumb... Cmon guys, teachers have a real life when computers fail:S Vote for Negative.. Thank you! Side: No
-Computers can’t refer to past experiences and understand what the students are going through. -A computer cannot keep order in a classroom so what would keep the students behaving -Teachers cannot earn a living -A computer would not be able to answer every question that a student might ask. Side: No
1.well as u said that teachers cannot earn a living, the internet sure does need somebody to upload stuff and that's how teachers will earn. The government will pay them. They can make up their own blog and students who like her method of teaching can take daily lessons from her and then the child can take lessons whenever he wants and whatever time suitable to him or her. That makes it more comfortable for both the students and the teachers.. 2.a lot of gasoline would be saved and the prices would go down. Less pollution as the cars or buses we use to go to school release a lot of harmful fumes in the air and that can be cut down by about half if we reduce school going traffic.. 3. I think a computer can give countless more results than a teacher in not even a second. Even teachers today are using computers as aid to teach their students.. Side: Yes
NO computers should not replace teachers because teachers have the feelings, love but do the electronic machine have feelings and love ?. Don't you think that in school teachers explain us briefly and they entertain ,scold ,punish us but for what? They scold and punish for our nice future only. But in computer can you see anything liked teachers . Of course they use computers but that doesn't mean that it should be replaced with teachers . Side: No
well if teachers have the feeling of love they also have the feeling of partiality among students. They discourage certain students. Also during class the students might get distracted due to reasons like what is the teacher doing, her behavior what are the other students which sometimes may become so important we forget what is going on in class. Side: No
I think computer should not replace teacher. As a teacher can not define by words.I know computer can do some extraordinary thing which a human being can't. But the moral values, manner, aticates that a TEACHER build in their students. No one can do,even parents . If knowledge is gold, teacher is the mine Side: No

no because it looks ugly. first, it could cause damage. for example it's exspensive when it breaks. second, it's not safe. for example it can short out with a teacher in it. third, the teacher wouldn't like being a computer. for example you can get in trouble for replacing a teacher. to sum it up I don't like it Side: No
