Smoking is alright, but if smoke too much then you'll momentarily become retarded.

Well, you see, I smoke almost every day and still manage to achieve all A's and correctly write a sentence. If you're going to be so bold as to make a comment about momentary retardation at least use complete sentences "but if smoke too much" doesn't make sense.

However, I believe this topic is about cigarette smoke not marijuana, but your case doesn't really make sense in either scenario.

It does make sense . Just add in you or someone.

Even somebody who has smoked too much could have figured that out. ;)

Smoke is a leading cause of diseases that lead to death and is also a major contributor in world pollution.

And that's why it's a good thing.

That's why we keep cigarettes on the market.

It's a form of population control.

I did like smoking when I went to college because I was nervous before taking an exam and a cigarette helped control my nerves.

Smoking is bad because:

1. It is known to be bad for your health

2. It is known to be bad for 2nd hand smokers health

3. It smells

4. It pollutes

5. It is expensive

6. It costs you more for insurance

7. It costs the taxpayers more to help keep you alive when you are dying from all the diseases you get when you smoke.

1-6 are all well and good, but #7 is incorrect.

Tobacco is taxed very heavily; the US government receives far more tax revenue per year from tobacco sales than is spent on all forms of diseases that CAN be linked to smoking (including those non-smokers who contract it). The bill for smoking-related health care doesn't fall on the taxpayers in general; smokers bear the entire cost (and then some!) of their habit.
