To Be Able To Text During Lunch

Lots of kids would love to take out their phones during class and text their thumbs off but we all know that's not happening. So why not text during our time like lunch hour? Write a debate whether you think we should or not text during our lunch hour.

I think its a good idea because it will help students communicate more with each other.

I think it's a good idea because I mean really if we wanted to cheat we could just give the person our paper during lunch. Texting it all out would be more complicated and it would take longer. Texting during lunch would make things easier somewhat because students would get the chance to maybe ask their parents about things they want to know like if they could stay after school or if they need lunch money. They may need something for one of their upcoming classes and if they could text in lunch without the risk of getting their phone taken away then they may actually have their homework or something. I mean i know it's not the parents responsibility to bring something to their kid, but most parents would do that if it was important enough.

I agree completely, to have cell phones at least at lunch that would be helpful.

I see no problem with kids texting during lunch hour. And you know they are going to text in class regardless if it is allowed or not. Texting is an easy way to send someone a message without making it seem urgent, like through a telephone call. YET if you're at school, odds are the people you want to be texting are there at school with you. So why they want to text someone who they could just walk up and talk to, I have no idea. I guess I wouldn't really understand, I had a cellphone when I was 16, but texting wasn't that huge of a thing until after I graduated.

Side: meh

As long as texting is conducted during lunch hour, I see no problem with it.

i agree because: 1.Some kids pay there own phone bill!!! 2.you cannot sit to certian people only the ones in your class so texting to others would help. 3.WE DO NOT ALWAYS USE LOL AND OTHER!

Well... of course we will but, more issues would occur.

1: Most parents would disagree with this idea because they give their kids cell phones for communication with their family

2: Texting takes away from the social communication (face to face)

3: Many parents will complain (the bill payers) because of the excessive texting.

Its not a great idea to text during lunch because you will get food on you phone if you are not carefully also it depends where you are.

Side: Not a good idea!!

It's a horrible idea why should kids be able to text during anytime at school? It's a time to sit and eat and communicate with your friend not to text people and annoy them and gossip about people I Totally disagree with this nonsense for people to text in school DO NOT DO IT!

School time is for studies, not playing video games or using a chat client. Lunch time is for your midday meal, for catching up on homework, and for participating in tutoring.

If you want to play games, save that for after school.
