In American standards it will still be extremely powerful, economically, socially, and politically. However labor costs have risen, the housing bubble in beginning to burst, exports are being lowered, imports are rising, and no one really needs as much natural resources- particularly copper- that China seems to have an obsession in hoarding. Oh, and the people themselves are having issues with the Communism, harsher punishments, and the paranoia of the supposedly omnipotent government. I think I just answered this question twice.
