I believe government is necessary for many different reasons. First of all government provides many services for its people. For example without the government all things paid with taxes would not exist like firefighters, police officers, and roads. Another reason government is necessary is because it protects its citizens from corrupt monopolies and companies that lie about the safety or effectiveness of their product. Finally without a government a country would have no unitary military defense system. In conclusion I believe government is necessary because it provides its people with services paid by taxes, and protects them from unfair companies and military threats from other nations.
