I think a government is necessary because we rely on it more than we think we do. For example, when roads get paved, someone has to pay for it. It's not just random people or companies paying - it's tax payer dollars that the government requires people to pay in order to provide these services. Also, without a government there would be no moral values or laws prohibiting people from doing whatever they want. This would force people to live in constant fear of their lives at all times and not have any form of authority figure to tell people to stop. Furthermore, without a government there would likely also not be an economic system or form of currency. This is due to the government being responsible for them. And with no currency or economic system, everyone would just go around stealing whatever they need. Lastly, without a government, there wouldn't be good foreign relationships. This would be due to the fact that there is no sense of authority and no one could really get elected or be chosen to represent their country. With this, the world could constantly be at conflict.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
