This is well put. Having no government in place would surely lead to crucial jobs for the benefit of society not getting done. Education of future generations would become less consistent, leading to a regression in our thinking and slowing down advancements in math and the sciences. We would also not be fulfilling our responsibility of taking care of the planet, as many services such as trash collection and water/waste management would likely not happen. If there was no government, the few corrupt individuals in existence would have more of a significant impact on the rest of society. People would tend to grow more self-centered instead of being focused on the betterment of mankind. Quality of life would worsen overall, which is why I agree with wanting to live under a governement rather than without one at all.
At the end of the day, it is evident that government is necessary. Therefore, I would prefer to live under a government rather than without one at all. Personally, I see several reasons as to why it would be better to live with a government in existence. For example, if none was in place, people would not be guaranteed the most basic of human rights. One would not have the right to his or her freedom of speech, nor the right to a secure person (prevention of unreasonable searches) or fair punishment. There would be no regulation of human behavior, allowing people to act in whatever manner they choose. This would surely lead to massive imbalances and problems, as it would be likely that even the simplest of interpersonal conflicts would not be resolved justly and with peace. Having no government would limit overall productivity of society to almost nothing, as people would ignore the effort of bettering society and simply focus on forwarding their own agendas. Finally, I would prefer to live with a ruling government because there are several jobs that need to be completed consistently in order to keep civilization running smoothly. These include the crucial jobs such as making sure there is a supply of clean water and educating the youth. Tasks like these would not get done if there was no government, further proving the necessity of having one. Overall, I would strongly prefer to live under a government rather than without it.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
