I agree, I think it's a disgrace to physically place people somewhere where they're are automatically looked at as stupid and retarded. Most of the time they won't want your classes if they are given 0 legitimate respect. I even believe that they should lower the "help" the schools provide. People, especially mentally challenged people want freedom, more than most things in life, not having to be restricted by everything. If you get into a "special" class, what career options will you have in life. At that rate of learning, little to none. In my middle school, I had the most advanced classes. Two kids in my class, both with down syndrome, were the greatest readers, with the highest grades in the school. There is no reason for mentally diseased children to get more "support" than they already have
Technically, yes. If people believe in race, then they don't think nationalities are equal. The Oxford dictionary definition of racist is "A person who believes that a particular race is superior to another." Now, if someone is not equal to you, then there must be one that is more "superior". That being said, society's "racist" and Oxford's "racist" are not the same. The majority of people assume a racist is someone who hates one or more ethnicities. If that is the case, I wouldn't see someone believing in race a racist, even if they are supporting racism indirectly by accepting race is real. So this could go either way.
Although I am not bothered by the animals, or how they are treated, I find not eating meat a very heathy lifestyle. Obviously vegetarians aren't the stereotypical, "Eat vegetables all day" people, you should know since you're living with one, that is, if you live your son. My point is, there are other, healthier foods with high protein other than meat. Almond or soy milk are both alternatives to eating beef, pork, and even natural cow milk. If you're worried about your son's health, it's fine. If you're still worried, make him try boiled or fried grasshopper, they are much more nutritious and less fat than farm meat. If you want him to stop, don't ask or request it. Teenage males are always daring and try their hardest to prove others wrong. Give him a month or two, because many people will not entirely convert unless they have a strong reason, in their opinion. Try not to bring it up, hopefully he may just get over it if the topic doesn't get too much attention.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
