There is private property in Cuba and they consider themselves socialist rather than communist nowadays, so they're just a left-wing autocracy. North Korea is also a totalitarian state, and I (as a libertarian and revisionary communist) don't regard these states as truly communist, since their aims are to turn the current social pyramid into an inverted triangle rather than a line.
There are things that motivate humans to innovate and do a good job other than money. For starters, there's the desire to be recognised and have approval from others, which is human nature. Also, the changes that the innovator will make to society will benefit them as well as the rest of the public, and doing well makes one feel good about oneself. In a true Communist society, the primary reason for doing anything will be passion for what one does, and people will be encouraged to find and do what they love rather than always thinking about material rewards. I think that Capitalism restricts innovation to the elite - the general public are too wrapped up in their prolefeed and trivialities to think about making a difference.
I think that once the foetus has started kicking, abortion shouldn't be allowed, but otherwise I think that it is necessary to lose an unborn life in the case of something like a teenage pregnancy or parents that are unable to provide for their child. Women have the right to control their own bodies and the government should not be telling them what to do with their gift of reproduction.
I attend a single-sex school currently, but I don't think anything justifies gender segregation or anything that makes children believe that men and women are inherently unequal or require different sorts of education. Single-sex schools are a habit of the past that need to be abolished.
EVERY generation builds on top of what was already there unless there is a revolution, and even then some ideas are taken from previous regimes. No single generation is responsible for establishing the world as it is today. If the older generation have made more change than the younger, it's only because they've had more time to do so. And being more experienced doesn't necessarily make one smarter - it could make a person more closed-minded and less willing to progress and change. I think that the younger generation should respect the older (not necessarily smarter) generation and vice versa.
I think it is because gay reproduction is impossible and the purpose of sex is to reproduce, therefore there must be something wrong with the systems of homosexuals. That does not mean that they are ill, bad, a "defect," (as though they're some kind of machine) or that they should be treated differently from heterosexuals. They are human beings and deserve to have the same rights as everybody else.
Communism is far from perfect, but better than Capitalism. People say that Communism won't work because it assumes people's inherent goodness, but Capitalism encourages people's badness. Greed, selfishness, lying and decadence are all rewarded by the current system and so we are resigned to being bad and don't even have a chance of improvement. By thinking positively and striving to make people better, we might be able to create a world where people are good enough for Communism to work.
