Also I agree with the statement, "Who hasn't hear of Harry Potter?". But Daniel Radcliffe just played Harry Potter. He isn't actually Harry Potter and half the people I know just call him that. They don't even know his real name.
As much as it pains me to put this- Robert Pattinson. If the question has to do with popularity its definitely him. Its not true that only tweens and tweens moms have heard of him. I doubt any of us on here are that and we've heard of him. Like it or not he's plastered everywhere we go. Personally I prefer Daniel Radcliffe.
Twilight is a fad. And like all fads will disappear when these movies are finally done coming out. Harry Potter however will last forever. The Plot and Subplots are better, the characters have more depth, and the books are books that everyone can read. I've read all the Twilight books and I'll be the first to admit I didn't totally hate them. But I never actually picked them up again. It was a one time thing. I've worn the binding off my Harry Potter books from reading them over and over again. When my children are old enough I'll read the books to them too. The point is, not only is Harry Potter better because it has a better plot, its actually created a legacy. One that will last a long time.
Every time I see this question come up its always the same argument. People say yes because it can kill you. Well guess what? Alcohol can kill you. Tanning can kill you. Cars can kill you. There are many objects that can cause harm to you but its your right to choose if you wanna use these things or not. I've never met a smoker that chased me around with a pack of cigerettes trying to force me to smoke them. It's their right to live that lifestyle. And mine not too. But banning someone from doing something because I don't like it is wrong.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
