Reading is a basic tool in the living of a good life. Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. We have only one life to live, if we can read, we can live as many lives as many kinds of lives we wish. I agree with this proverb: “Wear the old coat and buy the new book”. In my opinion, nowadays young people read books, newspapers and magazines less than in the past, because they prefer reading in the Internet more than reading books, they think books can damage to their health and they are not taught to read books since childhood.

I’m going to say several reasons of my opinion. Firstly, the Internet is more popular than Books among young people. This is why the Internet is comfortable and convenient. People can find different information, videos, news, films, dictionaries and many other things online easily. In addition, Internet is less expensive than books.

Secondly, books can damage to their health if they read in dark place. Of course, if people read books and newspapers in the dark they will be able to impair their eyes. However, we have modern technology that can create the light. I think we should not forget these proverbs: “You make your bed, you must live on”, “Where there is a will, there is a way”. If a person wants to read something very much, he will find a way to obtain or do it no matter how difficult it is. Thus, reading books cold be harm their eyes, if they read in the dark.

Last, but not least, many young people are not taught to read books since childhood. I think that it is a big problem. For instance, nowadays a lot of parents don’t teach their children reading. Furthermore, pupils read books at school little, they prefer reading summary in the Internet to read books. According to Mark Twain, the man who doesn’t read good books has no advantage over the man who can’t read. I agree with him. Overall, the Internet is more popular than books, and we should teach our children to read more.

Clearly, most young people don’t like reading books, magazines and newspapers, because the internet is more popular than books, teenagers think books can harm their health and unfortunately, they are not taught to read books since childhood. I remember a proverb: “Live and learn”. I agree with it absolutely, because today you are a reader, tomorrow you will become a leader. In short, Books are important to us, because it speaks to us, it is universal, and it affect us and we should read more in order to develop ourselves and be literate, educated and informed people.

From my point of view, video games have two sides of coin and, of course, video games influence not only children, but also adult. So, I would like to write advantages and disadvantages of playing video games.

Advantages:

• One of the important and scientifically proven benefits of playing video games is associated with improved ability of problem solving and logic skills. Adventure games, puzzles, riddles, and similar types of games trigger the brain to think unusually, and come up with out-of-the-box ideas.

• Another benefit that video games provide is, enhanced levels of hand-eye coordination. Certain medical journals are with the fact that surgeons who indulge in video games are less susceptible to commit errors than those who don't. One fine example of such games is one that I came across, off late. It's about guiding a crow through dark narrow passages, which are supposedly in Hell. Anyone who can complete the task at one go can easily be considered to have exceptional hand-eye coordination.

• Games that are packed with action, help in improving concentration in children.

• Video games, nowadays, is not only about playtime, but are doing well in the field of education, as well. How would you feel to study mathematics if you realize that you are not studying but playing with numbers? It has been surveyed that kids learn more and learn quickly, if they are taught with the help of video games.

• Reportedly, such games help in the treatment of kids with attention deficit disorders.

• Creativity makes life beautiful, and one of the fun ways to boost this quality, not only in kids but adults too, is getting into video games.

• Nowadays, virtual pet games are gaining popularity. Such games are designed to help beginners to know the intricacies in raising a pet, thereby instilling a sense of responsibility.

Disadvantages:

• The greatest drawback of video games is the risk of addiction. While these games do increase cognitive power, they tend to make children neglect their studies, keep them from eating properly, and from getting enough exercise.

• Continuing this article on pros and cons of video games, certain studies have shown most violence-packed games tend to induce violent behavior in kids. They somehow become blind to the difference between real life and games on TV. Such kids fail to understand that reality and situations presented in video games do not go along together.

• At one point, the addiction to such games become so intense that, people start neglecting the importance of social life. They begin to isolate themselves from the company of other humans, and become increasingly indulged in these games.

Clearly, a video game is a very interesting, cognitive and enthralling thing. However, playing video games excessively can lead to serious problems with health, communication with people and many others. Thus, everybody should remember that middle way always is the best way!

Marriage is the most important thing in our life. In the age of 18 teens are very ambitious and think that they can do everything. Maybe in most cases teenagers marry because they are pressured by their parents and they just want to show that they are already independent. In this case marriage will not be very deliberate decision. So, it means that the threat of divorce will be very big. Most couples who get married at a young age are more prone to divorce. The National Statistics (in the USA) show that out of 10.5 people, a thousand of married couples have filed for a divorce in the recent year.

However, in my opinion the main argument against early marriage is that because of pregnancy girls must forget about their Higher education. However, it also means that boys must work because they have to earn money for their families. At the age of 18, for instance, it is difficult to earn money for your own living, so how can you earn money for the whole family? Moreover, they will not have an opportunity to study properly. Education means a lot today and it is very important for our career and for our future life. Certainly, they can ask their parents for help, but it will not be so good decision to bother parents.

Moreover, at the age of 18 not every person can understand all responsibility of his life. Also at this age most people do not pay a lot of attention to their future.

One more example: our government rose the age of driving lessons to 21. Also some years ago the new law was accepted and today only people who reached 21 can buy alcohol drink. In my opinion, the government did it with aim. Maybe it means that before the age of 21 our organism is not formed enough. For girls, it means that early pregnancy has bad influence on their organism and early pregnancy can cause health problems.

Technological progress is our future. And we cannot deny this thing. It is part of our life. Why technology is good for us? I have three reasons. People should understand that progress in technology is not bad because it gives to us communication, surgery and good economical position.

First of all technology gives fast communication with people, who are sitting in the other side of the Earth, there are a lot of chat rooms which can help people to connect with each other. And all of us have experience of using this benefit.

Second of all technological progress gives chance to people who have serious illness to have good consequences after operation. And nowadays all serious operations do with technical equipment. People are not so accurate like machines. Robots do not think they do things which are in their program.

Third of all this progress give to country good economical positions. And country which has good informational technologies always will win than country which has only weapons.
