Since matter, space, and time came into existence at the Big Bang, whatever caused it has to be immaterial, spaceless, and timeless.

So what if most deities throughout history have had causes? Does it necessarily follow that all deities must have a cause? If God had a cause, then He is not God.

God is, by definition, uncaused. God's definition is evidence for the claim.

We do not postulate God based on what we don't know, but based on what we do know. We now know that the universe had a beginning. We now know that space, time, and matter began to exist at the moment that the universe came into existence. Since something must have caused the universe, it has to be spaceless, timeless, and immaterial. Sounds a lot like God, doesn't it?

Nobody has claimed that either of these sources, in addition to Josephus, were eyewitnesses. They are historians, which means that they are good at investigating events before their time. If you don't think so, then I guess you should tell all of today's historians that their work is futile.
