Of course, there are extremists in any group. Much like Jihadists in Islam, Westboro Baptist Church in the Baptist faith, and the KKK which is partial to Christianity; there are extremist parts in any group. No different for any group.
I will say that to anyone that asks, and have said it. To say there aren't extremists in your respective group to try to 1up another person is a flat out lie, and is quite frankly rude. However, that's straying a bit from the point.
Sure, give them a flip phone, or simple number-padded calls-only phone. Do not give them a brand new iPhone X that costs more than a couch. Great way to get addicted and be pushed into the horrid social media.
Since my answer isn't under the categories provided, I'll post here.
Just think of the wall as a fence, and the Rio Grande a property line; and a border is a glorified property line. Normally in housing, a fence doesn't sit on the property line, but slightly inside of it, meaning it's your property. Now, if the wall were built anywhere other than on the land on our side of the border, then the ownership would become a problem; property laws 'n stuff.
Well, I'm willing to bet that some people that celebrate Christmas aren't even Christian. For the record, Christmas is of partial Pagan origin. Sometimes trademarks become so widespread it loses meaning or value. Such as diamond rings, A/C, Satellite Radio, Christmas, Cellular Data, Wi-Fi, etc. These used to be high value, but nowadays if you don't have or use them then you're the weird one. If someone doesn't celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah around that time of the year, what do you think of them? Hell, it can just be an excuse for the family to come eat your food.
Enough tangents, just because one has Christmas lights on their house, it doesn't mean that they're Christians. More often than not, it's an effort to fit in with the neighborhood and appear "normal" to the average person. (Go watch "Christmas with the Kranks") Try telling me with a straight face you've never thought when passing someone's house on Christmas that has no lights, "what's their deal, where are the lights?" I'm willing to bet you've thought it at least once.
Also, to believe Christmas is still solely a "celebration of Christ's birth", is bullshit. It's about stressing over giving them the wrong present or asking for super expensive materialistic items that you'd never buy yourself in a million years. If it was a celebration of Christ's birth then why have presents, a tree, or most decorations? So I never understand the justification of this superficial materialism by use of religion.
We spend 56% of our total revenue on the military, why do we need 65%?
Our military is so large/strong that we could remain neutral just like how Switzerland always is. You know that's why the Swiss never go to war; because everyone their military is so strong. I think we need to stop having "conflicts" in other countries so that we can focus on our societal problems. We aren't the world police, and we definitely aren't perfect.
I'm not saying we are worse off, but we have problems of our own that are a big deal to the people pumping our economy. I often hear that we police because we're the best. Hell, if we were doing "best should do all the work!", then where's the E.U.? They are fucking phenomenal, but we seldom see them fucking up everything. I'd love to see America pull a few things from Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Finland, etc. Yet we keep wasting trillions on the military.
Popular vote is the ballot, electoral college is the choice.
Didn't The Game Theorists determine Sonic only hits about 50mph?
In today's society, everyone has a degree. College students are still working in fast food, convenience stores, etc. It used to be that a high school degree and some experience got you somewhere; this is no longer the case, and I'm starting to lean towards integrating higher education as a "right." This isn't because I can't afford, need, so on & so forth higher education, but because a degree no longer holds the value it used to. Much like inflation, the more there are, the less they're worth.
I'm not paying for that $90 textbook. A notebook is, at absolute max, $5.
