In my opinion, reading is important. It improves our language - vocabulary and grammar. Reading allows one to explore different ways of writing and the different style.It helps us emotionally by helping us reduce the stress as we emerse ourselves in different scenarios of another life. It acts as a form of escape for the soul. The feeling of finishing a book and understanding the book is really satisfying and brings happiness(: at least happiness for me.

reading can add up to the content in our compositions and most importantly , our knowledge - about people and about the world. By reading, we can know different life styles of people and know more about their religion, culture and practices which is very important when we get into the actual world. Reading prepares us and tells us more about the world we would be going into - the adult life and also the working life . in other words, the society.

in conclusion, reading is important, as without reading, one's language would not improve. One's knowledge will be limited - one's horizon would never be broaden.
