Instead of writing a new mini-story about why I believe marijuana should be legalized, I'll just copy and paste what I wrote on an earlier debate..

I have been an advocate for the legalization of marijuana for quite some time- that will not change as I fully believe this should happen. Uruguay has legalized cannabis for a couple years now I believe, so far, no issues. If anything it has helped Uruguay grow economically. I have not once heard on the news about people dying from cannabis down in Uruguay, or riots happening due to this drug, or elevated crime rate.

Colorado is another example of this. Granted, it is a US state however it is the same concept. It's grown economically, job rates have gone down as it has caused more jobs to open up for the unemployed.. there are more positives than negatives to legalizing marijuana.

We have alcohol and cigarettes, which kill millions of people each year, and yet we have all of these commercials talking about how dangerous it is for people to use. Well if it's dangerous, why have it legalized? Shouldn't that be a no-brainer? Marijuana is a herb, not a drug. I refuse to call it a drug as it is not true. If it grows in the ground, it is natural. Herbs grow naturally, marijuana is a herb.. not much more has to be said.

No, and I don't plan to smoke at any time in my life. Unless it was cannabis, in which would be monitored and would most likely be done with other people and not by myself.

Definitely allow them, however kids should have to understand they can't pull out their phone during the middle of a class as it is not only distracting to others but also disrespectful to the teacher. Wait until the end of class, or the beginning of class to use your phone. Unless it was an immediate emergency, then you tell the teacher and he/she will allow you to leave the classroom to take the phone call.

To express my different opinions/thoughts about different things. I find I can do it on here as it is more civil, to a certain extent.

I respectfully disagree with this statement. Out of all the research I have done on cannabis, all the stories people have told, I have not come across one article where people's health have deteriorated over taking cannabis. Sure, if you took too much of it then it would be bad.. this is the case for many other things in life as well. If you smoke too much, eventually your health will take a downward spiral. If you drink too much, same thing.

Cannabis, if anything, will help improve your health if taken under moderation.

The government. How can we get our rights from someone who comes from the bible? Last I checked the government wrote up the constitution, the law, what our rights are, etc. Not someone who is the focal point of the bible.

Barack Obama won his presidency because many people wanted an African-American to be elected into office, ignoring political beliefs, ideologies, etc. Hillary can pull it off because I am almost sure those same people who wanted to make history and elect the first black president in US history, will want to elect the first female president in US history.

The death penalty is the easy way out for cowards like him. Of course what he did was wrong and inexcusable, however he'll be thrilled with the death penalty. He wouldn't care he's dying, he did his job. Instead you let the man rot away in prison for the rest of his life, that's called justice. He took innocent lives away, so his life should be taken away too, slowly and painfully.
