The National Socialists in Germany liked to censor and use violence to get their way, and go after Jewish sinagogues while constantly trying their political opponents and controlling the media. Now they call themselves Democrats. You would have been there wearing the swastika, while thinking you were a good person for obeying the state like a beaten dog.
