The internet can be used for different reasons, some are good reasons and some are bad reasons. If a person were to get on the internet to see how to jump start a lawn mower that broke down, that would be a positive use. If a man needed to know how to correctly install a new drainage system in his kitchen to be more efficient, that would be another positive use. When a person looks up the harshest way to torcher someone, or how to silently assassinate someone in 15 seconds or less, that is a negative use.

I think that the internet is a great thing, and not so good at the same time. So, the internet itself is not good. Just flat out, it is bad. I know as humans, we always tend to focus on the bad parts of things rather than the good and positive parts. But if you really thing about this, how much better or worse would life be without the web. So let’s go over some of the good things. We can play games online, have a google account to share documents and power points with other people, watch videos and look up ways to be more efficient.

Now all of these things are good, but this isn’t the web. The web or internet is a cloud. Literally it is just a cloud of info that we can get stuff from when wanted. But these are all examples of functions that we have put into this cloud and go back to fetch when we want something done. The internet could not do these things on its own. But humans can, so we put our ideas into the web then make them shareable. But then what does the web actually do.

Well the internet doesn’t do much if anything at all, it just holds things that we want it, THATS IT! But when bad people, like really very bad people put out viruses and bugs to gather information on people, it just sits in the web, cloud, until someone without protection software, or at least hackable protection software, triggers something that lets the virus in, and then their computer or laptop or phones information with all contacts and personal info get copied and sent back to the virus owner to sell for money. The virus can then go to another person’s device and do the same thing. That is the internet, not a function.

So after breaking this down, my final opinion is that the web, cloud, or internet, is a bad thing, there are a lot of good functions that humans put on there, and putting a virus on the web is also human based. But viruses typically travel through, the web itself, not the functions.
