Because we were unable to come to a compromise with the Japanese, and the code of Bushido says that they will continue the war until every man- perhaps every woman and child- lies face down on the imperialist battlefield, bombing Japan was our best option because regardless weather we bomb them or not, they will continue to fight and thus create even more casualties. BOOM!
