The great depression was not the main cause of Japan attacking Manchuria. It was due to the lack of space and natural resources in Japan that lead to Japan attacking Manchuria.Manchuria had a low population and lots of land and also a large amount of natural resources that Japan lacked.Japan at had little natural resources and was overpopulated.Japan saw Manchuria as the perfect place to invade and expand, and hence invaded Manchuria.

Despite the great number of people that were killed under Stalin's rule,Stalin did manage to greatly improve Russia in many ways.Through industrialization,Russia was no longer a "backwards" country and production levels greatly increased.Transportation was improved, dams and heavy engineering plants were built.Through collectivization, grain production greatly increased.Stalin was also able to almost completely prevent any rebellions by purging or eliminating all those that opposed him. Also,if it were not for Stalin, the state of Russia may have been different during World War II,and Germany may have actually beaten Russia. This would have altered the course of world history.Overall, despite the sheer number of deaths under Stalin's rule,it can be argued that it was necessary to ensure the survival of Russia.

Yes,Truman should have dropped the Atomic bomb on Japan.Dropping the bomb resulted in mass japanese casualties, but was not as high as if America launched a full scale invasion, which would cause many allied soldiers to die as well. Also,Japan was warned before the dropping of the bomb, but ignored the warning and arrogantly thought that America was growing weak and wanted the war to end fast.Japan also would rather go down fighting than to surrender. The atomic bomb was the only way to get Japan to surrender. If America had not dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki,Japan would have taken a longer time to surrender,or it even may have had been wiped out.Truman's decision saved countless lives of American soldiers, and thus I support Truman's decision of dropping the Atomic bomb.
