The main idea of globalization is to solve contemporary world's problems globally. A major source of globalization is transnationalization, in which a certain amount of production, consumption, exports, imports, and the country's income depends on the decisions of international centers outside the country. As the leading forces here are the multinational companies (MNCs), which themselves are both the result and the main actors of internationalization. Globalization of the world economy - is world's transformation into one area where free to move information, goods and services, capital, ideas spread with ease, encouraging the development of modern institutions and debugging mechanisms of interaction. Secondly, in conditions of information integration of the world transfer of technology and management experience becomes much faster. The preconditions for such processes of globalization, which have so far remained local in its nature, for example, higher education away from the best centers in the world are formed. Thirdly, due to the liberalization of trade and other forms of economic liberalization, politics of protectionism has limited and the world trade has been made freer. This resulted in significantly reduced rates, eliminated many other barriers to trade in goods and services.
Globalization has brought many opportunities to our lives and still doing it. Simple example is that if before people could use only letters, telegrams, and then phones to communicate, nowadays, thanks to the Internet, communication has become possible in ''real time''.
There are people who oppose the former argument. They claim that space research has brought enormous benefits to mankind. NASA has launched Satellites for weather and climate, which give the scientists view of earth's atmosphere, helping them to improve their abilities to forecast weather and predict climate change.
The question of whether money could be more usefully applied to tackle the crisis around the world rather than spend it on space research is a very controversial issue. There are, therefore, people on both sides of the argument who have feelings either for or against. Many people believe that money should be spent to solve food crisis in Africa and South Asia. Drought, for example, left Africa with famine. Every 30 seconds an African child dies of hunger and about 45% of children in South Asia suffer from malnutrition. Similarly, the global issue is the conflict of AIDS in Africa. Although, there are numerous factors in the spread of HIV/AIDS, it is largerly recognized as a disease of poverty. Medicines, for instance, are very expensive and the government in poor countries can not afford to treat the disease, therefore, millions are dying, while in rich countries people live longer.
