I feel that the quality of musicians is decreasing. Thus, the quality of the music that they are putting out is decreasing. If one is speaking strictly technical, then sure, today's musicians compare. But from a perspective of the pathos appeal of music, today's music does not compare by any means.
No, of course not. As long as there is a reliable flow of information about the potential dangers in smoking cigarettes (which there is - all over T.V., billboards, and even directly on the packs), then the smoker knows what he is doing to him/herself.
Ice Cream. All the way. Nothing beats grabbing a cone of ice cream after getting off the beach. Popsicles just don't have the same satisfying effect.
While there are "bad people" who hang out at gas stations, that does not mean that everyone who hangs out at a gas station is a "bad person". In fact, as some nice(er) gas stations are becoming more and more popular (see: QuickTrip, Wawa, etc.), the demographic and general demeanor of these so-called loiterers will improve.
In fact, 7-11 is an extremely popular hang-out destination in many Asian countries. They even occasionally will bring in bands and host small events at the 7-11's.
One of the main points of capitalism is to give the consumers choice. Just because many people choose to overuse fast food restaurants does not mean that any action should be taken against the restaurant itself. It is no fault of McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, etc. that the general public does not know (or care) enough to realize that they are destroying their bodies by an excessive amount of junk food. Just like anything else, these fast food joints are fine if used properly (in moderation).
Probably one of the hardest parts about English is the amount of "rules" there are. And more-so, the amount of times that the "rules" must be broken in order to be correct.
While this may be true, those people should be dealt with by management (or other higher-ups if the person in question is, in fact, management). Any employee should be allowed one week of annual holiday. If they are not performing up to company expectations (i.e. they are taking holidays during work, as you say), then they should be removed from the company.
At least one week of holiday should be granted to employees annually. This should increase productivity as well as morale of workers. Without time off, workers will become complacent, with nothing to look forward. A great mix of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation is necessary for maximum productivity in employees, and vacation time is an amazing extrinsic motivator.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
