Modern technology makes our everyday life easier. Today we can look things up easier since we have computers, tablets etc. but before you had to look it up in an encyclopedia, which takes much longer time. We also have things such as cars today. Before you had them you went everywhere by horse and carriage or walked which also takes a lot longer time than to take your car.
One argument against modern technology is that it is distracting the children from the important stuff, such as the teacher in the classroom or from homework. What is important to remember is that even though it can be a distraction, the teachers can determine themselves whether their students are allowed to have their phones in their classroom and if it is a distraction the teacher can take the distracting object away from the student. Phones and similar technical objects can also be used in a good way. For example to search information the schools’ books doesn’t cover.
